Well it appears i've just won a 270k miles, one owner from new citroen xsara enterprise van. I can't say unseen, as i spied on it from about 200yds from behind locked gates. The seller has not replied to any messages to view said vehicle as it appears to be an air conditioning business  and closed for the holidays. The only mot its ever failed was its first one for a blown headlight bulb, apparently it has a full service history too. Anyone want to buy a 1.4 petrol pug 206sw?

I had no idea that these were ever sold in the UK. Would be perfect for carrying dogs ^^

One for the "Cars I didn't know existed" thread.Did they make Enterprise versions of other cars?.I'm sure I saw a C2 with no rear seats a few years ago.

Is it an Irish tax-dodge spesh? They love a "commercial" over there.

I would imagine it has Irish routes yes. If the engine goes bang plenty of rotten Picasso's around to rip one out of. I just like it as it looks like a normal estate except with blacked out windows. I would imagine alot of that mileage will be motorway miles and from the glance i got of it it looks well cared for. Definitely will try hard to get that up to 300k. For some reason i can get van insurance far cheaper than for the equivalent car version.

I'm pretty sure you could get Xsara Coupe vans in Eire so it's possible. Tell us more about the 206SW please Dean.

Don't forget to shut the back door.

Its a 52 plate, petrol, mot until september, no advisories on last one. In resale silver. Tidy car but not immaculate. Drives fine except for a slightly worn gear linkage meaning a bout 1 in 4 times you have to put in another gear before going for reverse. Would like around £300 for it. taxed to get you home etc.

I saw one of these at our local tip recently, on chatting to the owner, I'm sure he said it was an ex-Sky engineers van and that they had them imported specially from Ireland.

Its not an Irish Import. Citroën did actually sell these Enterprise Xsaras officially in the UK. I worked at a Citroën dealership at the time when these were current and as if I can recall there was some taxable reasoning why you could buy a 5 door estate type van like this.I still have all the blurb stashed away somewhere.

C2 was also available in enterprise form from 2005 onwards...some with blacked out rear windows...and some without.

Brilliant, thanks for that information. hopefully when i get it i'll find out some more of its history. think i'm a confirmed citroen fan now with the bx,zx and Xsara van!

Thanks. Just spoken to the wife as it'd be a car for her grandmother, but apparently it'll be too big (!). I'm not quite sure how her nan will get a fat, old Labrador into a much smaller car...

I've licked the window of the 206, it looks lovely!

Well it would, it's had a new interior!

To be fair the factory black tint rear and side windows in the rear make it a pain to park at night. I'll get the van first and make sure its as described then maybe offer it up as a roffle.

Private use of a commercial vehicle by employee, or director, is subject to different Personal Tax rules - ie lower tax than a company car.

I do remember seeing these here new. Citroen has done Enterprise versions before, including the Visa! I've a feeling the rear doors can't be opened on those.

hoping i might hear something from them tomorrow so i can arrange collection.

Well its collected! It drives fantastic, lots of poke, downsides are a distinct top end noise at tickover. Looking through the full history in the last 6000 miles its had, a reconditioned rear beam, new rear discs, pads, rear callipers, front discs and pads. A full clutch and clutch arm, bottom balljoints, anti roll bar links and new driveshafts!! Its very tidy inside, seats are perfect, only things not working are remote locking and the information panel has jiggered up. Looking through the history its had numerous attempts to sort the remote locking at the main dealers. It even came with 3/4 of a tank of diesel. Other than the top end rattle its great! I'd dread to add up all the invoices but must run into many thousands.

The service history is the thickness of a haynes manual! Its been serviced in house as they are a classic car restoration company, the building was full of very expensive cars. It was original leased to them and they brought it off the lease company. It was the service managers van on the air con side of the business up to a couple of years ago. The last two years its been used occasionally by a salesman and just a spare vehicle. The major expense was done just before it was relegated to spare vehicle meaning all those new parts have only done 6000 miles. I've treated it to a new battery as i work nights and need a good battery when its cold. the old battery will get recycled onto the BX. Now need to desperately shift the peugeot estate as I have 4 cars!
