Raffle - Renault Vel Satis - £7.5 ticket

A Vel Satis would look epic going round Knockhill.

And everyone would thank us for coating the track in fluids

I just remembered another bad point: the screenwash  bottle level sensor likes to claim it's low (it's not) and again, sets the info display to SERVICE. Another little thing that has bugged me, but not enough to get to grips with it.

have you got any more pics of this fine chariot?

I realise I have been most remiss in this matter, and having spent much of the afternoon's light washing said chariot, I can only offer these two money* shots

I will be applying a vacuum cleaner to its softer parts tomorrow, so hope to grace you with some interior shots too.

I should explain. S1 XMs have a reputation for having properly comfortable front seats. I'm not arguing with this. I've just bought one. I have only done around 650 miles in it though, so this is only an opinion based upon scant experience of the XM:

The Vel Satis front seats are in a completely different class. I am simply gobsmacked by their size and luxuriousness when I get in. The way they adjust is sublime.

And both their heaters work.

I have test driven this presidential machine & can confirm that the seats are outrageously oversized, exceptionally comfortable & infinitely adjustable! It's just a brilliant place to sit.

Perhaps I can make this a little more tempting....

If the winner is a holder of two tickets, then they will also receive:

a full tank of unleaded AND

a copy of the Renault Electronic Parts Catalogue and Workshop Manual for the Vel Satis, in the form of two VMs that run Renault Dialogys.

(You will need a windows pc to make use of this, but the only other software you'll require is VMWare Workstation Player, which is free to download)

Correction: I see there is a version of VMWare Workstation Player for Macs
