UmBongo Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Knight Rider, a shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist. Michael Knight, a young loner on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent, the helpless, the powerless, in a world of criminals who operate above the law. BTW, we cut the roof off your car, buddy. Is that OK?
NorfolkNWeigh Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 I've seen pics of this one somewhere else, I think there were 2 made around 1976 and they are massive. Took years to build each one and they cost something like a billion pounds.Yes, here's the second one. The green one was built by Frua, who designed it, but I think the red one was left unfinished and Frua went bust or something , so was finished by somebody else.As you say , they're massive as they are built on Phantom lV chassis'. It would be interesting to see a picture of one next to a Corniche drop head for perspective. JeeExEll 1
chaseracer Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Maserati Kyalami: ...but NOT the Del Monte Longchamp... ...which was otherwise the same car (but with a 351 SBF in place of the Maser V8) Fabergé Greggs and NorfolkNWeigh 2
chaseracer Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 And, errm, cough cough, but with the engine in the middle of the car which was not near the front. Both front-engined. Are you thinking of the Pantera?
twosmoke300 Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 I was gonna say that the rear seat accommodation must have been interesting with it being mid engined ! ( I saw the headrests )

Volksy Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Volvo should have made the 480 Cabrio, but allegedly wasn't in keeping with its brand image. Vince70 and Aston Martin 2
Faker Posted October 3, 2016 Author Posted October 3, 2016 Someone mentioned these a while back. Quite pretty. MarvinsMom and Aston Martin 2

Ghosty Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 For those that can't tell, the Maserati Kylie Minogue has upside down Citroen SM rear lights. Unsurprising, really.

Vince70 Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 We have one of these driving around Bexhill which has a square number plate so I don't know if it's a jap import. But I've never seen it with the optional extra polar bear/dog Faker 1
Vince70 Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Or how about the Mitsuoka Himiko from the same company that brought you The jag lookalike Micra. This one is based on a MX5
Dick Cheeseburger Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 De Tomaso Longchamps... Unknown.jpeg Nearly - late Bertone 2000GTV (upside down) Thanks for that. It's been bugging me as to what they were sourced from; the closest I could get was the lovely Lancia Beta, which isn't very similar really: As an aside, there was a Lancia pervert who lived near the local chippy when I was a teen in the late 80's/ early 90's. He always had a few Betas in various states of decompostion in his garden, right next to the main road. I can only assume that people must have kept on asking to buy them as 'not for sale' signs became a permanent fixture in their algae-covered windows. I've always liked the look of them since.
chaseracer Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 ATCNBE?? "...and the car's not bad either!" Time for an update of the Autoshite Lexicon Faker 1
