Cheers guys. Much appreciated.

I don't feel quite as bad as yesterday thankfully.

If our Mr Womble doesn't go for t'Golf then I may keep it as it has feck all retail value/scene tax/pineapple potential.

The Mitsu and the Rover are 100% on the transfer list however - irrespective.

Early morning bump as the cats woke me up by filling the litter trays with volatile waste products.

Now I'm 'wide awake'. Joy.

I'll be away for a few days as of tomorrow. If anyone has interest in any of the cars then just PM me, I'll get the message (eventually).

Sorry, as of Thursday.

So, after Focus moving I just had a general faff around and noticed that there was a small, well really small weep of coolant from the thermostat housing.

I undid several hoses and an electrical connector, undid 4 bolts and off came the thermostat housing. New one will be ordered. It looks like an original bit so well done to it for lasting for so many miles :)

C'mon folks, you know you want one of these beauties!

Buy these cars you bastards .

Love you!

Buy them!

I would if I had any money.  In fact you'd be on your way here now delivering the Mitsi, in which I would be about to run you to the station for your train home.

But I haven't, so you're not, and I won't be.

Dammit!

GLWTS.

Ok, price drop to £350 for the Mitsu.

Other cars: Might swap for something 2 wheeled and engined. Not a Tomos though, sorry. hate the bloody things :)

That space runner gives me urges but the money jar is a bit empty. Is there potential for shiters payment plan??

I am sure we could sort something out. I'm going to be away for a few days. Drop me a PM on Sunday and I am sure a solution can be identified :)

Turns out my return on Sunday was actually today. Hey ho.

Argh... If I didn't already have one, I don't think I could find any reason not to buy your Rover !

You wouldn't happen to want a scruffy, old, czechoslovakian bike, would you ?

Posted

Oh dear God no. Not ever, ever, ever. No.

CZ - had one, don't want another one :)

Posted

Thank God for that... I have no idea what I would have done with two R8s !

The Rover is one of my old motors and whoever buys that is getting an absolutely ace car for the money, one you're unlikely to find a better example of anytime soon.

Happily interest is being shown in the Rover and the Mitsu. Watch this space :)

Happily she will be shortly going to a new home as a deposit was taken this afternoon. She will be going to live with Tony aka auspom48 of this very forum.

Mitsu will be going on Thursday.

If you,ve been keeping up to date with this post then you will now know that I will shortly become the new owner of purplebargeken,s handsome(tho dusty!) Rover 214. Just wondered if any of you previous owners of this fabulous motor(and I know there,s a few of you!) can tell me if the cambelt has ever been changed. Any other useful info would be greatly appreciated too, thanks.

I think (and it's based on my shit memory) the cam belt was done the year before I had it and not that many miles had been done. Don't hold me to that, though!
