It's orange. Our train has had to have a 40 minute rest in New Street, poor old thing. This means I'm sat cross-legged until we're back underway, there's no free loos at this station.

The train that's visible in the second photo must be from the 1950s....

I thought you could crap in a station now? It used to be because they dumped straight onto the tracks (lovely) but now they all have tanks I think.

The sign said don't flush in station and it was locked while parked up, even though it said vacant. This is Cross Country trains though...

Many, many years ago I went for a brief run in the Outspan Mini when it visited the green grocer opposite my folks house. I seem to remember leggy Outspan girls too but that may be just an old pervs fantasy. 1974?

Sounds about right:  1974 + advertising = leggy girls.

Bond Bug?  Fiat 127 Sport?

Not so much the size that is similar...

Made it to Bristol in the lovely sunshine, seems like a nice place.

I'm 90% sure there are no mini parts on board, or at least it's not supposed to.

Welcome to the United Kingdom. Please adjust your watches by turning them back an hour and fifty years.

A more recent Ferrari than that one. And sadly not an ice cream van on a day like today!

What was the 456 inspired by? The P1800ES? That definitely sounds logical.
