Yeah there deffo was a "conversation" before that about it and how it might be reported. There always is these days. Alas it's all a long way from Sandra Howard ( then wife of conservative leader michael) smoking around in a panda 4x4.

Looks like the hence is about to steal Dave's wallet but he doesn't realize Cammo has already had his watch away.

I presume AS staff have systems in place to reject applications from undesirables?

Could this 'we're all in it together' idea backfire? He and his family are seriously wealthy people, so why buy a £1495 car? Perhaps* he or Sam'll end up on here asking for help. We can direct him to the EU thread and set the Hon gordonbennet onto him.

I wouldn't subject my loved one to a Micra, even if it was £450, etc etc

Autoshite suggestion for Cam and the family:

But for all the help he's giving UK industry, outside banking and finance, he may as well be honest and buy an Audi 80.

Owd aht yer aahnd sahn, yoov jass bowt a quackin mowtah! And second for cutting the brake lines on it

Whats really going on here? Samantha Cameron is even more minted than he is. Whats he buying a £1500 micra for? It doesn't make sense.

It's an obvious attempt at generating positive PR, except it's so transparently bogus that it's likely to have the opposite effect.

Look at the prick, standing there with 'a commoner', pretending to live in the real world for the camera. It's downright offensive.

I prefer Thatcher's old runabout. Looks to be Vanden Plas with MG alloys. Hope she declared the mods to her insurers.

Update: Apparently Cameron's wife did this with her last Micra, but she tends to get through them, hence another cheapie.

^^ thanks for the pic - I've just put new drain covers down in the bathroom of the new house and knew the design reminded me of a wheel I had seen before (the Maestro)

Ken Clarke was king of the boy racers back in the 80s with a succession of Ford Escorts. I seem to remember the Super soaraway Snu papped his car with out-of-date tax when he was Chancellor.

His bro was a used car dealer or summat like that.

Didn't one notorious Tory twat own a DS cabrio? LHM lidless massochist!

I see the positive PR, but can't see the direct link to the 'vote remain' campaign? (scratches head)

edit: assume actually a response to the Panama papers stuff....about offshore funds and all.

Until I see him turn up at Cannock and bid on a dodgy PT cruiser then I remain unconvinced of his shite credentials.

True. I guess a PT Cruiser is shite whereas a Micra is just shit.

I'd only accept him as a shiter if he was snapped with Barbara Cavcraft (Billy's dog) after just purchasing a high quality* vehicle from Cavcraft Motors

Wow, he's just like the rest of us, apart from the bit where he has a personal fortune of £25 million, went to Oxford, went straight into a directorship job straight after leaving, had loaded family, married into money, owns three live-in houses, owns numerous amounts of property, shagged a pig, has investments in several 'blue chip' companies in the UK and sits as board member on one, and also being a massive rich cunt.

David Cameron occupies the upper echelon of society alongside bankers and industry magnates, he either bought this as a transparent PR stunt, or as a car for his daughter as a 'screw her, I'm not buying her anything new' lesson. He's been loaded since birth. No wonder he has no grasp of the concept of being poor.

I suspect you are thinking of Alan Clark, he had loads of cars mainly Rolls Royce and Bentley but including his 2cv, Porsche engined Beetle and Land Rover Discovery. He once got told off for selling cars from the Houses of Parliament parking garage.

My favourite quote about him came from his wife when door-stepped about one of his many faux-pas "Well Alan is a shit"

It was a pig's head, not a full pig.

Back in the day... when I was a local radio journo, I used to see Elliot Morley from time to time - then Labour MP for Scunthorpe and (from '97) fisheries minister, later sentenced to time at HM's pleasure for fiddling his expenses.

One time I interviewed him while we sat in his Granada Ghia saloon (this was about '95 or so). And I then accompanied him to a constituency event where the Granny was left parked round the back and switched to a Metro, in which we both arrived in non-ostentatious style...

(Despite all of that, he was a really nice bloke).

Then of course there was Two-Jags - one of the Jags was a complete heap and normally parked at Hull Paragon station while its owner was in London.  It may or may not be the case that an acquaintance had a minor fumble with one of the owner's sons in said Jag...

Did I read somewhere that Jeremy Corbyn doesn't even drive?

It would fit in with his other attributes I suppose, like not being able to run a mainstream political party very effectively.

I just saw this and knew Autoshite would be on the case.   As mentioned above my first thought was 'that's overpriced'.

Never really understood why Prescott got grief for two jags, wasn't one his own car and the other one the government car that came with the job?
