face Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I just saw that KGF are dealers for the 'Healy Enigma'. A new one on me. It's an MX5 and this one is just shy of £26K.
artdjones Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 The enigma is why anyone would spend so much on something so ugly Bfg, mercrocker, strangeangel and 2 others 5
Tamworthbay Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 It looks like the ugly bastard love child of a bini and a Audi TT. alf892, michael1703 and tommotech 3
Anglevan Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Saw this at the nec classic car show. Based on an mx5 from memory. Looked well done but then you expect that of a show car? Not my cup of tea but plenty of people were having a good ol' nosey at it. Banger Kenny 1
HMC Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Very authentic apparently, they even remount the exhaust system so it grounds out and has no rustproofing. michael1703, Lacquer Peel, Banger Kenny and 10 others 13
mercrocker Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I think its pronounced "Ugleay Pig-ma". Seriously, who would squaff 26K on this? I know its de rigeur on here to trot out how many £250 shiters that adds up to but you could have a real MX5, decent Frogeye and a £5K daily for this joke. None of which, incidentally, would have to be wearing such fucking stupid wheels. eddyramrod, Lacquer Peel, twosmoke300 and 3 others 6
Dick Cheeseburger Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Let's try and not be Meldrew about this. The facts: 1. It's better built than the original.2. It's going to be ultra reliable, comfortable, and easy to source mechanical parts for because MX5.3. It's ideal for blowing out the remaining hair from a receding hair-line. 4. It stands out from the mainstream shizz. Would I ever spend £26k on one? mercrocker and DavidB 2
John F Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I have a suspicion that it won't be comfortable on those wheels. But what is really going to sell these cars more than anything else is the styling... ... NOT mercrocker 1
spartacus Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 It's got it's place... just not in any of our fleets, not until it's 1/100th the price. And those wheels are shit. I'm having to edit this, I've just seen the pictures above, I'm not sure anyone on here is short sighted enough to buy one.
strangeangel Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 2. It's going to be ultra reliable, comfortable, and easy to source mechanical parts for because MX5. Shame they didn't use the body from an MX5 too, 'cos that looks rank. eddyramrod 1
Guest Hooli Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 That is proof that retro = shit & you should just buy the damn old car you actually like. mercrocker 1
Felly Magic Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 That is hideous, you could get a decent real Healey for that money too
KruJoe Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Micra lights? LOLz. Banger Kenny, Lacquer Peel, michael1703 and 1 other 4
John F Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 The ones in the red one are even grimmer. WTF were they thinking?
Twiggy Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I have a suspicion that it won't be comfortable on those wheels. But what is really going to sell these cars more than anything else is the styling.. Styling. . . ? ? ? What "styling". . . ? ? ? eddyramrod 1
eddyramrod Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 It's overpriced, fuck-no-please-ugly and on stupid wheels. Of course it'll sell. It'll sell in vast numbers, they'll have to build three extra factories to keep up with demand. It's exactly what the people who buy new cars want. Twiggy 1
Dick Cheeseburger Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Micra lights? LOLz.Good lord, looks like they are as well. It almost warrant a 'Styling by Micra' sticker.
The Reverend Bluejeans Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Hadaway and shite. Lacquer Peel and mercrocker 2
Faker Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 The headlights are from the bini mini! It's a kit car. Can be bought for £6.5k!
