And some 14 inch Rallye steels, that have decent tyres but with cracked sidewalls.  I think I'll put fresh rubber on before theyre fitted to the car.

I couldnt get the rear pannel off.  Aparently theres two sliding clips in the top corners that need pressed aside.  Could I fuck move them though.

Fail.

There are quite a few areas of slime, moss and filth that require attention.  I plan to farm out responsibility to a project manager based at the local Armenian hand car wash.

Had a half day today so ran past the jet wash and then off exploring the highs and lows of South Shields.  Marsden Water Tower, Souter Ligththouse and Southe Shields beach.  Even with knocking shafts she managed alright up a steep bridleway and onto the highest point within eyesight.

I've only really started to appreciate these as they've almost vanished completely. Definitely think the Rallye wheels will suit it.

Does Souter give you the Horn?*

Its quite a horn, but ive never experienced it in action.  Looks like it would be pretty painful.

I'm not interested in the car but I do have a grill badge and a pair of 309 mirrors for you. PM me

Please get the rear wiper working. It's wrong-angleness is infuriating me.

It might be away unless someone outbids me on that ZX!

I knew it. Snatched away and unwanted in the nearly Scottishshire.

Looks like the 309 is staying for now, because the ZX might be staying at Castle_Cleland!

To celebrate, I stripped out the Vecrta shift knob and installed something far more in keeping with the sedate nature of the vehicle.

When you're looking to get down the quarter in the low 60s, you really need a t handle to get those gears brother. #tommyxmas

ha ha ha. It's chunkier than your average corkscrew man. Same principle though. Poorly fitting oversized vectra knobs are also terrible for opening wine.

Genuine Microcar.

I'm sure these 309s were mid sized at launch.

It's been 48 hours at least since I checked this thread. Has the 3rd auction/4th Autoshite owner collected it yet?

That looks tiny!

My Dad and then me had an E reg 1.3 GE, the lowest possible, and remember it getting 5 of us to Ireland on many occasions with everything required for a week or two. It was either buy one of these or a Nissan Bluebird which was lovely but as usual Dad picked the 309 and didn't even bother to test drive it.

Groundhog Day.

White Peugeot 309 diesel leaves Tyneside for the land of scotch style eggs.

I found something I wanted more.

Nice to see you guys again. Always a pleasure.
