Can we help Bub?

Yep happy to donate some electronic money stuff if it helps the cause, not a problemo

I'm too far away to be of any practical use, but bang a roffle number list with no risk of winning a car and I'll donate when needed!

Sadly only have scrappers going spare at the moment which are devoid of an MoT - if any cheap runners come in part exchange I'd be very happy to donate a car should the Fiesta go south

I'll have a cosmetically challenged 106 sitting here as from tomorrow evening when the daughter picks up her new clio.

It needs an exhaust from the downpipe to the rear box but it's mot'd and in daily use

It's due to go to scrap as it won't sell but happy to let Bub have it

If anyone is roffling a car that is actually useful to Bub, I'll buy tickets to be assigned, IYSWIM.

Considered doing so on the Celica but figure the practicality is below requirement and the insurance/economy would be unhelpful :/

200 miles away and sans van, but willing to contribute in any way I can.

Point me in a paypal direction!

Tommotech is picking up a battery from me this evening then heading up tomorrow to see what he can sort. So hopefully within a day or two we will have a better idea of whether the fester is a goer or not. Lots of other options though so one way or another he will be mobile soon.

I'm at a loose end for most of the week (except Friday) if anyone needs a hand/running up/down. I'm poor but can and will be happy to chuck a few quid towards Bub recovery fund.

Roffle for a piece of the scort van, surely it will be a lucky talisman !! all proceeds to the bub festa and chompy Picasso rescue fund

If all goes not well on the fezza, could we put a cannock LOL fund together? Then run the fiesta through for extra dough towards the cause? I'd turn up for that day!

I may have to go auction house or ebay for a auto in the end. I'll see how fiesta goes

When is the next Cannock day?

I may be up for that and can give you a lift Beko.

I'd be happy to make a donation to the Bub/Chompy benevolent fund.

Mucho tempting! But does that not put an unhealthy precedent on me to buy something as I don't have a car? I don't think I can commit to that...

Posted

You van buy a car vicariously through Bub. :)

I haven't been to an auction for over 20 years.

Auctions not required (despite the fun factor).  We've already seen a Proton automatic in the ebay thread.  Bub's seen it and liked it.  It's cheap.  It's.... ah.  It's in Lowestoft.  If it looks like auto is going to be the way forward, and we're chipping in, is anyone seriously going to tell me there won't be enough for a lovely Proton?  I'd almost buy it myself, except I already have a small automatic (with significantly more invested in it) and no spare cash for such things.

Get the thread made for donations, then at least it can sit in someones paypal, then we all keep an eye on the ebay thread...

Right Lowestoft is 170 miles from me, but I'm sure we could carry out some sort of collection relay, I'll be happy to help out.

Thank you all. I'm still whittling over chompy though and Picasso!

I can do it Friday night, Saturday or Sunday.  Who said they were up for chase-car duties?

Has Picasso shifting been sorted yet?

I saw JohnK was volunteering to get the keys back down to where the vehicle is but no mention of someone taking the Picarso up to chompy.

Is it three, or four, times I've offered...?  ;)

If I'm free and can help with relaying, I will. Also if something is happening with the Proton there's £20 here towards it.

Sorry, tired from work etc.... I can volunteer to meet you up North and return you back to your motor at Bub's if Lord Sterling/BMW isn't available.

This is assuming the plan is you drive to Bub, collect Picarso, drive it up North then get someone to return you to your motor at chez_bub
