Hey, my train's not until 9.15, but I am up early because I IZ EXCITE.  Also the boiler is befookered and my house is colder than a fat woman's bum cheeks, so I might as well drink tea, do some work, and start this thread.

Stage one: fire up FREE Bimmer and drive to a station of railwayness about half an hour from me.     Not my usual one.

But currently at COFFEE SLURPING stage in my freezy-ass kitchen.   I will ring the plumber as soon as it turns eight.

I think its traditional to give some sort of clue with regard to destination and or car.

I'm jumping straight in with a Morris Marina TC in Morecombe.

( this is assuming I haven't missed something and you're going for sloppy seconds from another eminent shite artist)

 Morris Marina TC in Morecombe.

Bonus points if it is for a photo of it next to the statue of Eric ( well on the road next to the statue)

Gotta be something French. He's done Italian, German and British. The only other option would be Russian but that would be a steppe too far even for BV.

Oh Ken, how could you?  You completely discounted American!  I reckon he's coming down here to meet me, Dan and the Minty Mercury, and wave increasingly heavy bundles of notes in Dan's face until he succumbs.

Nah, I reckon European. Can't see BV dressed as Buford T Justice at all. Well actually......

Dutch!!!!!! A Daf! Of course. How could I have not seen that. A Daf 66 maybe, in Terrana Gold.

Posted

Well this should be interesting as BV has impeccable taste.

I think a nice Sunbeam Rapier (fastback) would enhance his collection.

A nice Honda Ballade, I suspect, with a rorty 1.5 litre engine and soopa-powa Hondamatic. In either hearing-aid beige or OAP-rinse blue.

I would love a Rapier Fastback, and did once give one to my dad as a present, but no Sunbeam this time.    I have done French twice (a Dizzerpug 205 and a Talbot-Matra Murena).  Japanese just don't it for me, and 'Murcan not much either.  The heap today is an Angloheap.

After weaving through several small Oxfordshire towns at school run time, and finding the last place in the vast and muddy carpark I  just made it to the train at Didcot Parkway, and am travelling posh class because I am seeing a client later and he is paying.  Very swanky carriages the Great Western have, but so far no food or drink on offer.  I may have to queue up for a bun.

Here is the by now obligatory shite spottage in the car park.  Note primo quality giffer hat action.

Next stop, change at Swindon.

I had always assumed fat women's bum cheeks would be warm.

Well I never ☺

British, you say? Planning on putting a Chrysler Sunbeam in yer life, p'raps? Even now I can recall the ghastly Petula Clark adverts and shudder...... the late '70s really were another country.

Seeing a client later - awe inspiring confidence in your new shitter, G. Looking forward to seeing what it is.

Swindon!  Gateway to the West!

Now on a second train.  It's heading to Swansea.  I gather that the forum's resident Swansea-botherer TEH skizzer is working for an honest wage up in that London, so now is my chance to steal his fancy motaz or maybe call on his glammo Missus pretending to be a 1970s porno plumber.

Wierd. I'm on a 9.15, also heading to Wales. Cardiff, however, not Swansea.

Another bloke here, spluffing coffee through his nose at that one.

It is going to be a Series I Daimler Sovereign, I reckon. When I was a small child my next door neighbours had a white Series I Sov with red leather. I loved it almost as much as the red with beige leather Series II XJ12 they replaced it with (I can still recall my excitement and wonder as I beheld the mighty V12 - and standing on a wooden box to see it).

It always had a bit of a petrol smell though - and once dumped the entire contents of one of the fuel tanks onto their drive, before being wheeled away, stricken, to Drabble & Allen.

Lancia Gamma Berlina or possibly a coupe. That would make a nice complimentary addition to the BV collection

I concur, I think he is using his fat woman incorrectly.

Dear Breadvan72

Stop using your fat woman's bum cheeks to scrap the ice off the windscreen in the morning.

It makes them cold and less pleasant to handle.

Yours

Can't look at this without imaging all those sparkly lights on. I'm sure that's why they made the electrics dodgy, it is so much prettier that way.

No, I think that BV will be joining the select band of AS owners of Crewe's finest, the photo of another railway town is I think a subtle clue :) . But I'm sure that an older model is on the anvil. Perhaps a Silver Shadow, but although I have never met BV, I can nevertheless see him more likely behind the wheel of a Bentley T2
