You can rest your funds in my account and I can bid for you;)

So I suddenly find myself the proud owner of a Z3 with a borked autobox, a selection of dodgy HG related issued MGs and several broken tractors :-)

Put me down as a maybe. Nipping down to Perth and back makes for a good day out and an excuse to drive along Glen Shee. :D

Chassis number 77100443D - the vendor has owned this example for just over 5 years and he purchased the car with a view to completing a full restoration, but he informs us has been unable (cant be arsed) to accomplish this, he further states that the engine was the subject of a decoke with the fitting of shells and bottom end bearings. The car is offered with an MOT test certificate until November 2016.

I may appear at this avec passenger...

suppose the ax needs to get hame somehow:)

Now now.

All nice and well and shiny paintwork makes for good eye candy.

But the really important question is this:

Will there be fried Mars bars available upon our arrival?

Posted

Are there any plans* to meet up beforehand for some cullen skink intake etc, etc?

What's the intended timeline? When should we be where?

You make that sound like a bad thing.....

Kinross has mind bogglingly high indemnity fees which make anything cheap not at all cheap once all their crap is added in.

I also found Morris Leslie very expensive last time I went - but interesting to watch!

My fave auction for a desperate heap at minimal cash is Inverurie. Some right turds there and low fees. My last was a W reg escort TD with test for 120 quid

Are any of the attending southern shitters willing to ferry newly acquired cars from Englandshire northwards?

I haven't bought anything yet but anything could happen in the next fortnight.

That can be arranged.

The "manual roof conversion", with its novel method of securing the horseshoe certainly is, but otherwise it looks not too bad. Missing two cylinders though. It won't sell for under £1500.

Did I see somewhere online that they have an A-reg Laurel listed? Would be interested to know what it goes for.

Did I read on Facebook that there is some kind of gathering at the auction?

I'd come to similar conclusion myself - its probably worth twice that in the summer

Are folk still doing this? Shall there be a convoy?

Having secured a day off from talking crap between records, me and the Mrs will be at this.
