You could always chuck a grand at getting it going, buy one of those inflatable air-conditioned bubble tent things to store it til March 2016then try again when it is likely to be the last Laguna V6. .

I think Jon's referring to my white Corsa (again).

I sold it for 80 quid with MOT (mid 2016).

It's outside my house right now, but we're not allowed  to mention C*rs*'s' on here.

I'd like the Lag not to be fragged, but will offer no practical help to avoid this from happening. HTH.

No, you would find something broken on both of them and need a third car to complete the job.

Wonder if I could make one running one out of two?

FFS, don't buy another until you are sure of whats up with your existing one

The one on eBay does sound like the better car though.

Its fate surely?

Blimey a laguna sitter than mine, good effort finding that!

Nudge. Starting to get tired of looking at this on my driveway now, and I know Jon's considering rehoming it at the Heinz factory if nobody wants it.

Nudge again.

Sticking my head above the parapet for once; my understanding so far, from the two separate threads: Dugong wants the car gone, 25V6turbo wants a parts car for his dad, Captain Slow wants his drive space. Moving car 90 miles too expensive.

My solution, 25V6turbo gets his arse up to Captain Slow in a van/estate car, strips the bits he wants from the car and gives Dugong a reasonable sum for the parts, a happy hiab man removes tthe rest and gives Dugong a few more quid, Captain Slow gets his drive back.

If that happens it all has to be done in one day, I'm not having a spares car lying here part stripped. Ideally the car goes - to Weybridge, Weighbridge or elsewhere - in one piece.

This is getting scrapped tomorrow. It's without a doubt the most toxic car I've ever owned. Good riddance.

Oh look, I'm on Autoshite again. I prefer logging in to check for PMs and logging out again.

Does someone want to come and collect the banner off me before I ransom it?

See you again when I feel like posting next. Helpful, me.

RIP IN PEACE SWEET PRINCE GOONA.

To think, collecting and selling a 200k Laguna V6 with HGF should have been totally hassle-free*.

I never expected it to be easy.

Stones and glass houses. Given the varied state of dross treasured by the AS collective, I didn't expect quite as much self-righteous bile towards it, either. I was stupid to buy it and naive to think it would be easily sorted; when a car's that cheap you take the chance. At least the collection thread was quite interesting.

It's also reprieved for another week. Due its location and the pitiful price of scrap locally, there's only one yard prepared to collect it - and the soonest they can come round is next Wednesday.

It'd take the right person to put a bit of time and money into a buggered old Laguna V6 but I liked it.

I don't blame you for scrapping it, you did give it a fair chance on the open market, even someone who needed a Laguna V6 for spares couldn't be bothered with the minor effort involved in collecting it.

A vindictive person would make it hard for anyone else to take parts off it. I'm undecided at the moment.
