3 weeks to go and I'm still not sure how I'm going to play this and whether to go on the railway visit or stay in the field of dreams and look at shite. I hope there will be plenty of opportunity for shite viewing before/after the railway. Do we have any timescales for the weekend yet?

Shitefest 2016 is Friday Saturday Sunday 24-25-26 June. Arrive when you like, leave when you like. I have no problem with people camping in the field before or after just let me know.

 

We are booked to arrive at the railway at around 11.30 am on Saturday, It will take about 1 hour to get there so leave 10.30am. The railway closes at 6pm but you can leave when you are ready or tour the long way back. I do need numbers for the Railway soon.

Sounds pretty good to me, I'm only a couple of miles away so getting there isn't a problem. Will probably roll up with dad in tow sometime Friday afternoon, then go home whenever and get him to drop me back at the field Saturday morning for the railway visit and cadge a lift with one of you kind people.

There is mains water on site but not near the camp-site so you will need a container to collect it.

I have just spent 20 minutes looking through sub £150 shitters on Autotrader, trying to justify buying one, running it to Shitefest for the LAWLz, giving it a good clean/polish and then trying to sell on for a profit.

 

Kind of like a mini Top Gear challenge.

 

What has this place done to me?

 

There's a £100 Fiesta 1.8d for sale at a garage very close to my place of work. It's MOT runs out in 9 days and the advisories last year were frightening. It's done 234k. It's Autoshite perfection. But as I cannot weild a spanner I'm going to have to be careful if I actually do this....going to have to find something that has at least a month's ticket.

I tend to watch it if it's on, but don't make any special efforts to do so. TV tends to be a conversation killer IMO, so I probably wouldn't be hugely keen on watching it at SF although wouldn't complain if others chose to.
