How does the Halfway House (A127, CM13 3LL) at 11am on Sunday 24th January sound? There's a Little Chef next door which could be an option if we want to recreate that authentic 1980s dining experience!

Can you get into the Halfway house by coming off the A127 for the A128 for Brentwood? The Rover could do with a run..(and a wash, but I aint gonna get time to do that before Sunday)

Yes you can, if you take the A128 towards Brentwood then take first left (Brentwood Road) that takes you down to the car park. I've done this before when I've been to car meets there

Make it 11, gives enough time to have a look at the cars before heading inside for a bite to eat. If it's going to be busy, might be worth parking over on the Little Chef side, as Little Chefs are sadly not very popular. If we went in there we'd probably have the place to ourselves!

It's a shame this isn't a bit further towards Suffolk (but then it wouldn't be a London/Essex meet I suppose). There's a toyfair on at Copdock, Ipswich on Sunday morning that I'm coming down to, but to do that and travel to/from Brentwood, talk rubbish and be back in time for what I need to do on Sunday PM is possibly a bit too optimistic. Chances are I'll be in the Lexus so it's the ideal machine for a bit of cruising up and down the A12, and the weather looks decent, so it's not impossible.....

Will be in the Saab-don't know what's wrong with my W124 but the battery won't hold a charge between charges (takes about a day between fully charged and fully discharged when simply parked on the drive).

There was one last weekend at the Brentwood centre! Next one on Saturday 19th March, if your doing a calendar...
