If that sexy beast is coming I'm definitely in.

Flights are superb if I want to go via London. I don't trust FlyMayBe to get me to the mainland safely. I love old chod as much as the next Shiter with the excitement of a FTP, I'd rather not have that trait in my aircraft

Sounds like a good auction, especially plant and machinery sale. But 115 miles.

Unlikely but stranger things have happened. Knowing my navigation skills I'll be near the centre of Edinburgh wondering where the fuck the car auctions are.

I've been on that flight, I know exactly what you mean. It broke down on the runway once and they offloaded us while they found another plane. I don't think anyone was convinced when they assured us that the fault had been fixed and they loaded us back on the same plane.

there's loads of tools, bikes and random shite at the other auction so it's worth a nosey

It gets REALLY busy on these days so unless you're really early you'll need park out on the main road and walk down. Also if you want to buy you need to register, get a number and leave a deposit.

I've only managed to get parked in the car park once. If there is group of you it might worth parking at lidl and taking one car along.

I presume it's on. They ran the car auction on Thursday while it was -2 and there was 8 folk there.

You need to register to bid, which includes the tools and all that stuff. There;s always a big queue for registration so it's worth getting there a bit earlier if you want to bid on some of the earlier stuff.

If I'm not working I may even come along in the newest car there which isn't shite, just shit! Lol

Although I'd be hoping the cars are more interesting/better than the crap that was going through last time I went, it was a direct from Arnold Clark sale, examples of the shit going through, N reg mk6 Escort absolutely rotten, rust everywhere, seen better ones in the scrappy, a P reg Rover 100 which had been hit on the drivers side, they side was totally fucked, car should've been a write off I think, and an 02 plate e46 BMW 3 series diesel touring which had a major engine fault, it was so loud the auctioneer had to ask the driver to switch it off while the bidding was going on.

Should maybe try and organise one at Manheim at Blochairn, Central at Baillieston or the ones in Shotts/Livingston for a wider amount of cars going through.

Don't worry i'll probably be in my juke. The cars will be grim but you'll not see an underwater bulldozer at Manheim auctions!

I'm permanent backshift just now so I may pop along if we're all going early enough. Fancy getting myself a several KW generator.

Oh flippin eck, I thought the auction was on Midlands Massive turf.  Can't see me driving 400+ miles up to Ayrshire for it.  Soz, I know it's pathetic by SVM standards, but I think I'm out.
