Skut Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Was thinking you could have a great party in there. Toledo and Minor doing a Trabbi U2 impression.
Tickman Posted August 19, 2019 Author Posted August 19, 2019 The CR-V has now gone to play at an old school scrap yard where they are piled on top of each other and you wander round and climb up to get to the car you want. 320touring, loserone, stereotype and 1 other 4
Shirley Knott Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 Shame about the Honda, I really like that generation of them. Despite the next lot being a chain engine and just as cheap nowadays, the original shape still looks best to my eyes at least.
Tickman Posted October 27, 2019 Author Posted October 27, 2019 In a currently rare turn of events the workshop was visited with a purpose of doing something. Firstly I made this mess. This came from this Just an oil change as it hasn't had one since about May last year! It has only done about 4,000 miles and not used a drop in that time so it just kept getting use, now it can carry on getting usedagain. Next in was the 205 but that belongs elsewhere. 320touring, Jim Bell, Shirley Knott and 3 others 6

Tickman Posted March 16, 2020 Author Posted March 16, 2020 More activity, Chuck's original Clio has been sitting as a spare supply for the current one, time has come for its departure, @domehad replied to my anyone want anything with epas please. Done. Butchery was employed. Really don't think there is much else to get now. dome, Tam, DVee8 and 3 others 5 1

Tickman Posted April 27, 2020 Author Posted April 27, 2020 After quite a while with a severe lack of progress I've been having a tidy up and sort out. It would be helpful if the tip would reopen but I do have the room to have a pile for all the shit to go at present. From quite a while ago we have this picture. That is very well staged to make it look tidy and empty but all the shit was basically behind me. There is a little stone store with the workshop so some shelves were bought and I had a tidy of that. Much better, things can be put out of the way when not needed. Next was a bit of a shuffle about. Minor and Scimitar put in the safest places, Toledo brought out ready for some attention. Then up she goes. The GSR is currently up there after bringing @stereotype's 205 back following the timing belt and water pump change. Plenty more tidying and clearing up to do before getting stuck back in to actually doing stuff. I'm hoping to get something productive done with my furlough time. Tickman Posted April 28, 2020 Author Posted April 28, 2020 Batteries, oil and general supplies a bit more organised. Many tools cleared, cleaned and organised. Slowly but surely... loserone, cort16, Split_Pin and 13 others 16
Tickman Posted April 30, 2020 Author Posted April 30, 2020 I've been carrying on with the tidying. I haven't seen the top of this since before the Oxford visited two(?) Years ago. I've also decided to address the subframe rust on the GSR that was an advisory* on its MOT last July ? This bit which has gotten a bit worse since. I have this. I've been applying this. While this is ready here. All* I need now is something to support the engine while I take the bit underneath off. Some quite amazing service from SGS. Ordered yesterday at 15:40 and here today at about 14:00. Now I just need to apply myself. Going to take my time and free off the bolts instead of just steaming in taking stuff off without worrying. I'm in no rush, I'm not going anywhere! Shirley Knott, loserone, dome and 7 others 10
Tickman Posted May 2, 2020 Author Posted May 2, 2020 Box unpacked and built up. Everything penetrating fluid applied to came out easily. Subframe out. Subframe fucked. Front steady piece cleaned up and painted. Subframe was quite a lot worse than could be seen. Waiting for paint to dry now before building the subframe back up. dome, BlankFrank, Skizzer and 7 others 10
Tickman Posted May 2, 2020 Author Posted May 2, 2020 Looks like the welder will be getting an outing soon. That is the front of the sill on the driver's side. Good job I like this car. Jim Bell, Flat4, theshadow and 2 others 4 1
Tickman Posted May 2, 2020 Author Posted May 2, 2020 I wonder* why there was rust in that area! All swept out of the back of the plastic shield. aldo135, Jim Bell, stereotype and 2 others 5

Tickman Posted May 3, 2020 Author Posted May 3, 2020 A bit of wrestling later and I have it fitted. Back on his wheels. All done if I ignore the holes I've made in the sills. Time to get some bigger holes in the sills then! rainagain, Shirley Knott, aldo135 and 7 others 10
Tickman Posted May 3, 2020 Author Posted May 3, 2020 I'm under no illusion that if this was owned by a normal member of the public it would already be scrap. The sill repairs* have gone as well as expected. This is the stuff no longer attached to the car. In the rear arch it went well* A previous plate, possibly original, had disintegrated and is now in that pile above. The rear of the sill now looks like this. The front of the sill now looks like this. This needs a small patch in the middle sill as well. End of play today after a tidy up. All rust treated and done for the day. Back in a couple of days most likely. Flat4, Split_Pin, theshadow and 14 others 17
