In other news, I'm glad you are ok, that's some scary shit you have shown us there.

Must have been very scary coming round after that. Well done on being rubbery enough to have squeezed though the gap (what gap?).

Bleeding hell mate, that's a good un.

There is a £120 306 DTurbo on 306.Oc. Miami blue ph1. Bosch pump and big turbo.

You want me to make enquiries?

I take it you don't fancy my 205?

Lucky man:  I'm glad you're alright.  That's pretty horrendous looking!  How many 205s is that now???!!! ;-)

I'd imagine you were pretty tired when this happened if you were returning home in the morning...was this on the way back from the gig in Manchester?

My OH doesn't 'get' this place. However, after seeing those photos and reading how the events unfolded, I insisted on reading the intro and then showing her the evidence. Neither of us know you, but I can assure you that both of us are very, very glad you walked away still in one piece. That's possibly one of the worst looking non-fatal accidents I've seen yet. Sorry you lost your hat as well! Afraid I can't help with links to a cheapy PSA, but thought I'd pass on my regards anyhow.

Ooohyerfooker! Psyched to hear you got away with it mostly intact Will.

Taking in to account just how darn rapid that too-oh-5 is I'd have assumed that, even at 25mph, it would have left a cartoonesque Peugeot shaped hole in the tree.

Thanks for looking out for me guys! Its been a bit of a weird day. Thank you to anyone and eveyone who offered cars, or suggestions for other ones for sale.

One stupid cone to guard against a fallen tree?

Apparently that is enough warning, and there wasn't even any cone on the other side. I'm not sure that is cricket.

Chompy's Xantia no good to you?

I have seen the way it has been bodged over and over again, it kind of puts me off. Its a little large, and MOT runs out soon. Nice car though, too good for me!

Didn't the spinal board malarkey seem a bit pointless once you'd already climbed out of the car, been interviewed by the plod and then driven it back with your head out of the sunroof? Surely if owt was going to happen it already would have?

Yes, but they like to be extra careful in the hospital. The nurses didn't communicate well with each other, when I went in for an X-Ray they wanted to sit me up, but said they had to check with the duty doctor first. I told them I had driven the car home, had breakfast and a brew, and been passenger for 20 miles or so to hospital! At that they had a quiet conversation with each other - saying ''why have they put the patient on a spinal board again, when he is obviously perfectly capable of walking into an X-Ray room''

I suppose they have to be extra careful!

Your 205 looks like a lovely motor but you have put a lot of hard work into it and I wouldn't want to steal it off you! That 306 looks ace, 180bhp! It needs a lot of work itself though, so im probably out!

You need to change the title of this thread to "Amazing Pics of My Near Decapitation in a Pug 205 Today".  I nearly didn't read this.

That cone is in no way a proportiate warning.  And it is way too near the tree.

In 3rd world countries (where there are broken down vehicles and hazards all along the roads) people break off branches and litter the road with anything they can find for 100 metres minimum before the hazard as a warning.  When you start driving over a bunch of random stuff you know to slow down.  Tried it once on a breakdown on a dangerous spot on a Scottish A road, but no one took the hint.

P.S. Aren't 205 convertibles quite desireable? How long is the MOT?

Bummer about the stages and the gig! The spinal board may have seemed excessive, but it's what the protocol dictates until they know the neck and spine is stable. That you've done shitloads since the shunt and walked in there could be hiding something that could be life threatening. After falling off the bike 10 days ago I felt well enough to drive out to take photos of the crash site, but later on once I'd mentioned to the missus that I'd waited for the double vision to clear and took note of the visual blind spot on the way home it led to me being assessed at the fantastic Harrogate hospital for concussion etc..

Mot till June :) the whole chassis is bent, so it is barely drivable, it felt a bit funny on some corners on the way home!

Aye, ditto.  You'll learn from this.  Here's an interior shot from 2 years ago:

I've nothing new to add to this, just shocked and glad that you weren't seriously hurt, those photos are quite eye-opening.

Drive safely please guys, winter's coming and we've had quite enough shiters in accidents, both on bikes and in cars!

Further to my earlier post which, on re-reading, is a bit bleak, I'm glad you survived relatively unscathed, which didn't come across. I'm sure you have been advised to watch out for delayed shock, although walking away from that you are probably a triple-hard bastard who won't experience such a thing.

I have no idea what the bonus ball was tonight but if it was 26,27 or 34 then you would be doing me a mahoosive favour taking the ZX

Fuck a duck, that was so close to being very nasty indeed. As has been posted before, congratulations on not being dead.

I have no veg powered cars for sale and am in no position to help you find one currently but good luck with the search.
