Maybe we assume that Penfold is a mole because he's such a gutless fugga, whereas all know that hamsters are BRAEVE.

Part out? Was the buyer American? Did he ask for a rebate on the sticker price?

Hell no. He's gonna pull the 2.5 liter motor, bolt up a stick shift trans and transplant the whole goddamned caboodle into a '90 E30 with custom headers.

Take care y'all !

Joe Bob says, check it out.

It could have been worse. You could have called it a 5er.

But, I seem to be the only Brit left who says 'may I have' rather than 'can I get' in McDonalds.  :-(

The spirit of Pistonheads appears to have infected this place today.

It's been feeling like that a lot recently. There's been talk of NCAP, finance deals and cars made this century.

Shame :(

I did have a small roll in it whilst it was on your drive. Beautiful car, wish I had the money to buy it.

Autoshite was never about "old" cars. Autoshite was about odd/unusual ones.

And those completely ordinary, yet forgotten, that used to be 'street furniture'.

What sort of gas mileage would that give?

'bout 16-18 down town bud, 22+ freeway. Any less, I'll have the goddamned EPA motherfuckers on my back. Off down to fill up down at the gas station by the mall.

Laters y'all!

THIS. In Costa, in the NHS canteen, everywhere. I rage internally like a true Brit.

It really fucks me off. This 'parting out' nonsense is part of the same malaise alas. America has ruined many things, our language included.

I overheard someone say "Can I get two pints of Carlsberg please" to the barman in The Duke of York (Belfast) not long ago. Cool as you like the barman replied "It's OK, I'll get them for you." Punter didn't react, I think it went straight over his head.

For some reason I always thought that Penfold was a mole, but he's totes obvs a hamster, doh.

it seems you are maybe not alone

  • Ernest Penfold (voiced by Terry Scott): Penfold is a timid, bespectacled hamster, and Danger Mouse's reluctant assistant. (Penfold is often mistaken for a mole; however, Brian Cosgrove has stated Penfold is supposed to be a hamster).[24] Penfold stands just over half the height of Danger Mouse, and always wears thick round glasses and a crumpled blue suit with a white shirt and a yellow and black striped tie. He is the sidekick of Danger Mouse, whom he calls "Chief". He is a coward (codenamed "The Jigsaw," as he goes to pieces when a problem occurs), becoming terrified at any sign of danger. He appears in every episode accompanying Danger Mouse, and he is often captured or getting himself into other dangerous situations before needing to be rescued by Danger Mouse. His main catchphrase is "Crumbs, DM!" and others include "Oh, heck!", "Oh, fiddle!" and "Oh, carrots!", all said when things go wrong. He also says "Coming, Chief!" when Danger Mouse wants to speak with him. Nevertheless, he appears to have some moral fibre, and is willing to resist Evil when things begin to go wrong—at least temporarily. He is a self-proclaimed expert in the martial art referred to in the cartoon as "kung moggy", though his skills do not do him much good in practice. He almost always makes ridiculous responses, whether by misunderstanding or mistaking as a joke, to which DM tells him to "shush".

Kinda sad that the 34 is to be broken up but I can see why.

The BMW sceen is still a bit "msport innit" and they just don't appreciate the joy and properness of a JRG M20 525 with an autobox.

More importantly Penfold is a MOLE people, that's why he has thick glasses - because moles have bad eyesight.

If he's a mole why isn't he underground messing someone's lawn up?
