So lets get this straight, yours has:

  • Bucket seats
  • Electric windows
  • Central locking (I'm guessing)
Mine has:
  • Bucket seats
  • Power steering
  • Front fog lights
  • Metallic paint
  • Colour coded mirrors
  • Electricity adjustable mirrors
  • Rear spoiler
  • Central locking
And they're both supposed to be the same spec? IT WAS A MARKETING SCAM!

G = GRAND

L = LUXURY

S = SCAM

I tried to work this out with Glass's Car Checkbook, but it says they were discontinued in 2000. Hm.

(Unless one of you has the 'sky' edition).

I'm sure the 'Sky' stopped when they "facelifted" them (read: new bumpers and grille). I'm trying to find a set of the 7-spoke 'OZ for Suzuki' alloys and Sky's always seem to have them fitted. They also have a different interior and blue gauges,

If TooSavvy bought cars and knocked a thread up about it, this is how he'd do it.

Fabulous stuff, looks absolutely awful and I'm jealous.

You should kick in the rest of the panels to make it match

Is it a trick of photography, or is that a BFO dent in the OSR quarter?!?

Nicely pogweaseled, good work.

It's almost certainly a BFO dent, the panels are quite hilariously thin on these. You can bend the roof panel alarmingly far with your pinky finger.

My dad bought one of those new in 1999, £4995 pre registered , had it 6 months ,didn't like it ,  and gave it to me . I had my elbow on the door and  was" holding the roof on "  going round a corner fast  and was surprised when the shell distorted so much ...me fingers slipped into the ever increasing gap between the door and the roof.... The shell was so screwed up , tyres were squealing and then suddenly the car shuddered and shook itself free from all the wound up torsion ,lurched over about a foot on the road and trapped my fingers between the door and the roof !!!

Is it the three cylinder engine? Can you describe what it sounds like without the phrases "six-cylinder-esque" "thrum" "vocal when extended"?

("Slower than continental drift" is allowed).

They sound like a v6 does to someone who's deaf in one ear.

There is definitely some sort of Runic message written on those seats. Dare you have them read?

Not runic. A quick glance reveals they're the directions to produce a form of anti-gravity ball of varying sizes that can contain an atmosphere. Extrapolating, I'd guess that the Swift is, in fact, a message from beyond the stars, instructing the owner on the technology required to build a small pod suitable for space travel.

One of my neighbours has one of these, his can only be best described as a moving shed full of shite, in lacquer peeling dark blue.  Oddly it sounds like a 2CV when he's starting it.
