Is it a kit to put a petrol engine on your bicycle?

Always fancied trying that.

Not far off, it does consume petrol though!

The bicycle converaion is next year. I have a chainsaw ready to be converted haha

Is the demijohn part of the kit or just something to lean it on?

Trail bike?   Hefty gearbox, high rise pipe....Either that or its a Terminator style leaf blower or power assisted Bong.

The best office shredder ever?

A handy backup generator to carry with you on the bus in case your phone battery dies?

It's a 2-stroke single-cyl. engine and some other bits, notably an exhaust.

But what for?? Something Japanese, but I can't tell from the pic. My guess is it belongs in a TS125 Suzuki trail bike from the early 1980s...

Edit: a bit of forum sherlockery reveals that it's for a Suzuki GP100...  8)

What have I won?

Im afraid you dont win much apart from the right to be smug.

It is a new engine etc for my gp100. This one has compression unlike the old one and isnt f**ked.

Only thing is this one has a slightly different wiring to my old one so i get to treat myself to more wiring!

Oh, someone already got it... I saw it was a GP100/GP125 mill from the pic, I've owned enough of the buggers! Does your fuel tap leak?

edit to add - much fun to be had from "tuning" the rotary valve on these.

My fuel tap is fine.

You may be a useful contact then! This new engine doesnt seem to use the CDI unit the other engine did. Does that sound familiar?

Yeah, it's an old points dynamo magneto one then. Either change the coil and ditch the CDI or swap the stator plate and flywheel over. You need a puller to get the flywheel off, and I lent mine to someone on the Blue channel a few years back and never saw it again...

Edit, or buy a top set and swap the barrel and piston onto your other engine. Gets round removing it from the bike and discovering the pain of a siezed swingarm bolt too.

Damn. No way of using the old coil then? Thought one of the two wires was an earth and the other a live as im getting a spark at the plug using just one of them

nah, coil impedence will be all wrong so it will either not spark or burn a hole in the side of it. A points mag type single cyl coil shouldn't be hard to find.

I do have one further observation.....I personally would have shipped that with at least a loosely-threaded plug in place.

I think the powered mower would have been a better idea. Just because.

Its on the wish list. Need to get a bigger gardeb to justify it to the wife though. Then the world of lawnmower racing will be opened!
