Removing stickers from windows

I need to remove the previous owner's obsession with stickers from the rear windows on my Citroen. I've tried peeling one or two of them to see if they just come off but most of them have been on there a while and just break up and tear. Any tips on getting them off? Quite a few are right near the rubbers which are irreplaceable so I'd be nervous about using thinners etc. I'm thinking one of those scrapers with a Stanley blade in the end is probably a good start?

Heat usually does the job, a hairdryer for example. Softens up the sticker/glue allowing them to be peeled or gently scraped off.

Hairdryer, but don't over do it or it gets too hot then starts to melt, then its even harder to get off..

Razor blade & lighter fluid (for zippos.) Also starting from a corner, peeling diagonally, then dabbing a bit more lighter fluid on will make quick work of it.

Razor blade and some sort of solvent, acetone perhaps but don't get it on any paint/rubber!

That looks like the kind of badboy I need. Ta.

I reckon that and some zippo fuel using the start at the top corner technique and keep adding more zippo fuel ought to do it.

Yes.. Or just use a hairdryer carefully and save ££££s

WD40 shifts glue from stickers easily as well as removing excess screen sealant after pumping it everywhere as i do , spray on , leave for a few minutes-wipe off

[autoshite meme] Hammer a bigger sticker over it [/autoshite meme]

Just use thinners and don't splatter it everywhere ........you won't harm the seals unless you submerge them in the stuff for a couple of hours!

I've found de-icer to be fairly good at removing the sticky stuff that tax disc holders leave behind.

Or you could cover the crap stickers with some really cool, amusing ones.

Warm them up with hot water or a hairdryer and they will lift off mostly in one piece. If not use a NEW razor blade to scrape them off. Soapy water will eventually clear the residue but thinners/WD is quicker.
