Forgive me AS, for I have REALLY sinned.

On the eve of the day where TopTrumping shitest  brings home a wondrous bounty of a Bentley, I must confess that the house of Ruff has fallen on somewhat harder times...

This is the only picture I can face posting of it;

Important stats;

  • Diesel
  • Miserable
  • 133k
  • Really Miserable
  • Mot until next Feb
  • Really Really Miserable
  • 2 Newish tyres for MrsRuff's Berlingo
  • Really Fucking Miserable
  • Enough service history to choke a donkey
  • Oh God It's So Miserable
  • Potentially suspect headgasket
  • ARGGHHGHGHWHATHAVEIDONE?!?!?!

So there you have it. In my defence, your honours, it was very cheap.

Even I don't want a raffle number for that.

It is, and through personal experience its a wretched contraption...well done.

Each day will be tarnished by the clang of the door closing, shortly followed by the breaking noise of the indicator stem.

As a transportation appliance however, difficult to fault.

Colleagues, we support Brother Ruffgeezer in his time of testing an must never lose sight of the maxim "Autoshite is a broad church".

But there ARE limits...

Are you sure? I could bring it down to your usual standards by equipping it's boot with a broken wheel barrow and a carrier bag full of tramp's shit.

Before purchasing a scruffy Galaxy to ferry children and junk about there was some domestic pressure to consider a Pablo.

Fortunately, sister in law bought one first and all suggestion ceased at that point.

You clearly weren't so lucky.

Daily facepalm moment. Go stand in a corner and think about what you have done.....

I've driven a few of these Picarseholes and I have to say I honestly don't find them offensive as people make them out to be. These are/or are at least seemingly out of favour of the Jeremy Kyle types, though I do see many of them being driven about by short haired/balding chaps with large beer guts who constantly seen wearing football shirts.

By like I said, they seem rather inoffensive.

[......silence......]

I'll get me coat...

Tragic.

The question that has the Picasso as it's answer must be an utter belter as I can't even begin to think what it is.

At least it's not that horrible school bog blue colour.

Mine isnt a bad old bus really and reminds me of an old denim jacket I used to own, wore it everywhere, did what I wanted, wasnt something I was arsed about throwing into the corner at a pub or party and washed easily enough if you got sick on it.

Meh, it fills the space the Rover will leave, that space being "car that works"

I had no idea a situation could possibly arise where I side with the Jeremy Kyle types.

Thanks fuck for that. I'm going to shoot myself now. Twice.

Shove some butyl rubber sheet in the doors and tell yourself it's a quality car from the thud when they shut. It worked for me on the MG F. At least until something else worked loose/fell off/caught fire.

The issue with the Picasso isn't the car - based as it is on a fun FWD chassis and generally pretty inoffensive to potter about in - but the original new buyer profile, who were the sort of completely disengaged, couldn't give two shits for anyone else, lowest-budget, lowest-common-denominator of road users. Parking dents, blocked driveways, trying to fill up from the wrong side fuel pump, driving at dusk with no lights, driving in pissing, shiny road rain or bright sunshine with foglights on, driving when texting or attending to squawling brat in back seat, ALWAYS driving down the middle lane, then flogging the car complete with enough piled up shit to offend Mr. Trebus, rubbish, stains, congealed mystery substances that probably offer more scientific potential than graphene IF you're bold enough to investigate them with anything more precise than a bottle of Jeyes and a hazmat suit.

Remove that element and they're a decent, practical car and kind of interesting for appearing to use the same windows for the front and back.

They are utterly bereft of anything interesting.

I can get five sea Kayaks on the roof.

Centrally mounted digi dash has got to be worth a few points Shirley?

Any of us sadarses who manage to live another 30 years will be foaming at the mouth at the thought of one of these.
