Prudhoe Street, Newcastle, 1966. M&S are still on the same site, but it was all redeveloped when Eldon Square was built.

Yep, still there. Quite a decent boozer to be honest although not as ‘gritty’ as it used to be in the 90s.  Then again, not many are which is probably a good thing

Surely that's the Ship Tavern (now called The Tyne Bar) The Ship Inn is further along the river Ouseburn at the bottom of Stepney Bank

That's "Bessie Surtee's House", isn't it?  IIRC, the Cooperage is further upstream nearer the High Level Bridge Arch.
