Guess why the heap is cheap?

One of the sparkplugs is loose (I actually fixed a misfire on an identical looking picasso once - it sounded for all the world like a burnt inlet valve but I found the loose plug while running a compression test)

Fuck sake scary you're too good .

Yip it blew out a spark plug and stripped the thread on the head.

Heh. It's bedtime anyway, I have to look at loads of broken cars tomorrow.

It's a Rover, t&t till January, for £189 of your pounds.

Why so cheap?

No reverse gear, cannot get in unit because of it?

Is super glued to a blue garage door and can't be shifted?

I'm going to accept this.

Sellers actual words:

This car has broken gear stick therefore I am looking to sell it for scrap/use of parts

In good condition otherwise

Woo! wasn't expecting to get that right. Er, my go then?

The ladies love an estate in a pretty colour.

The turbo siezed up and then the engine ate bits of the impeller.

Rover 75 2.0 Connie. Mot may 2016 £300

That is not cheap, as these don't go for much more then that with all belts intact!

I would love to know how many miles its done for the belt to snap (that's if it has snapped the belt and not the tensioner)

I only called it guess why the heap is cheap because guess why the heap is fucked doesn't rhyme.

A lot of these distressed heaps are over priced when they're mostly frag fodder.

Ah I agree Cort, my comment was more aimed at the seller demanding £300 than your great thread 8)

Pretty colour focus is a 1.8 TD. Not got it yet, though the colour guess has to be at least half a point.

Oh, and seller states " It is driveable, but for only a very short distance, so towing is strongly advised"

Posted

That Focus looks nice and shiny. As such, I'm saying it's terminally rotten underneath and 'failed MOT on corrosion'.

I am thinking corrosion - simply because every focus I have seen that colour has rot - the one near me has door bottoms that have fallen off.

If it can be driven short distances I'm going to say oil light is on and it's knocking like nun locked in the boot of an Austin montego.

The bottom of the radiator has dropped out so it won't hold water.
