I have six of these and need to share the wealth.

Also, our house is on the market and apparently it looks like a scrap yard.

I put it on eBay but feel free to make offers here.

£900 takes it.

NB. It's on an agricultural licence at the moment.

I'm also selling a series 2A project and the Audi A4 is going not that anyone here will want it. Might put the allegro up for grabs too once it is mot'd.

I'm being inundated by gumtree mongs as I type. Apparently someone is coming to see it at half 9...

It's an x reg tdi estate with 208000 miles but recent* cam belt change. I was offered £730 by a no show gumtree dweller this morning.

Have a gravel drive shot

OMG!

What do you need for it to be on an agricultural licence? I live on a farm.

Edit: Awesome, I could use it to drive to the petrol station for things. Weird that you can drive a tractor > 1.5km between places, but not a vehicle in the tax class.

That would do. The previous owner to me commuted from perth to Inverness in it every day! I wouldn't recommend that though.

It means it's mot and tax exempt and can run on red diesel (I think). I have it insured and taxed (free) and use it as a shooting/fishing/firewood wagon with occasional* onroad use.

how difficult is it to swap to normal? any major issues you can see if it were to be put in for an mot?

Stop the clocks!

Thats amazing.  I can haz no £900.  So sad.

Nothing major for a Land Rover. Chassis and bulkhead are sound. The left indicator needs a bulb or an earth looked at, the window washers need some tube replaced (I have some) and the brakes need two presses which mean I need to adjust the rear shoes. There might be a weepy hub seal - blame britpart.

No idea about changing the taxation class, it was like this when I got it.

Posted

Change of tax class is easy - get it MOTd then send off the form V70 to tell 'em you want to give them money. Same as disabled.

Having had two SWB series 3s, I would say to anyone who is hesitating - buy this one!  900 quid looks like Bargsville City Arizona.

They are super things.

GLWTS!

Someone clicked the BIN button for the series 3. They live 398 miles away. What's the chances of the deal being concluded? Then about half an hour later, some slightly scary non-English speaking Eastern Europeans gave me £800 for the audi.

As things always happen in threes, I'm expecting the series2A project to sell later this evening. Or maybe the house.

How much do you want for the aggro?

Not sure if I'm mentally prepared to sell it yet and I haven't put it in for mot. What's it worth?post-5582-0-77072100-1439933799_thumb.jpg

That OLLI would be 18.37 a roffle ticket...

Would that be a record high roughle price?

Posted

Oh God PLEASE let him roffle the Landie, PLEASE.

The ebayer has made contact and is arranging collection. Worryingly, he is asking questions about the condition now instead of before buying it. Fingers crossed for a smooth eBay transaction. I'll throw in a tailgate and set of tyres to keep him sweet as he is paying (hopefully) the full £1200.

Bastard eBayer! Hope he gets eaten my rabid kittens and disappears. Then you can safely roffle Landie and I can win it and do the YOLO thing.

Posted

He hasn't wasted time yet so I'll be giving him the benefit of the doubt. He sounded ok on the phone.

Hopefully he will honour the deal as the 1200 smackeroonies will be most welcome.

Personally I blame Yorkshire - its all a conspiracy to get us to drink Yorkshire tea.

Eastern Europeans definitely have a thing about VAG TDi stuff. I'm hoping they take them all back home so there's even less of the things on our roads.
