1989 'F' Volvo 740 2.0 SE Estate - £250 - Teesside

Selling my 740 - I bought it in January to lug some stuff around then lent to my mate as a family hack/dog lugger whilst we got his E34 Touring back on the road. It's now surplus to requirements and clogging his driveway up.

MOT - July
250k but with pretty much a full history.

It's not in bad nick, bit of rust on NSF arch, and OSR light lense needs changing.

Drives really well, needs a clean up inside and headlining is missing (backing board still there).

Clutch is high but doesn't slip.

Has a load of spare keys, really good tyres all round. I was going to use it for shitefest as transport come accommodation but I'm going to tent it and take the RobT 440 instead.

£250 covers what it owes me.

Can someone shout me on facebook when this has sold to let me know when it's safe to log back in? I've given the missus my bank card in case I get any ideas.

I can park it in a lay-by on the A1 northbound if that helps facilitate a sale ...

On Friday night I'll have four Volvo estates. If that four becomes five I will be a fucking dead man.

Unless there's a raffle. Everyone loves a raffle.

(Still a no from me... )

I don't even like Volvo's and I fancy that one

Seems very cheap seeing prices online lately. I would be considering if it was an auto too. Mpg might be a bit much for me too. Glws

Two litre manuals aren't too bad on fuel. I got high twenties average and mid thirties on a run.

This looks fab BTW.

You are for to be needing it

When I move house this would be handy for shifting all my crap to wherever I end up next. I'm going to put the phone down now before I start agreeing to getting on a bus to Tyneside to purchase a 25 year old Volvo.

ALL VOLVOS ARE -------- the bollocks

Someone just snap this bargain up.

I've been using this word in pretty much all my recent posts on this forum.

Here it goes again: RAFFLE!!!

If your missus sees this when you inevitably buy it this week, claim she is seeing double vision, then have her admitted to hospital immediately for a few months, and then buy more Volvo's.

If your missus sees it and gives you earache for even thinking about it you may as well buy it

You're going to get face melting pus either way so sod it.

I WANT this.  If the 405 dies whilst I'm in Leeds this weekend, I'm in.

Posted

I'm bringing it home from my mates tonight, so it will be available with immediate effect if anybody wants it.

Is that looking likely?

Is that looking likely?

Depends on the sabotage committed on friday night;)

Ha!

Just got it home, think I might get a couple of final tip runs out of it before it goes...

Will be sticking on eBay over the next few days as well, at a higher price.

Yeah just listed it. I think £395 or best offer is acceptable. £250 (fixed) still stands on here though which I think is fair enough. No doubt eBay tossers will dick me about and I will have to go all Mike Tyson and forcibly remove them from anywhere near it when I lose my rag with them.

Will lob it in for MOT if it doesn't sell and just keep it. I'm sure I can find a use for it.
