wesacosa Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 some great stuff there. loving the yellow Kitten. One day I'll have one of those ( I hope!)

I'd like to get the number down a little bit more by selling one of the bikes and possibly the 305 and LDV. I think realistically I'll need to mot both of them if I want to sell them but I'm just not 100% on selling either of them, I like the 305 and the van is useful to have. Definite keepers for the moment are Chevette, 505, 504, Camry, A3 and maybe the Cortina although I'm leaning towards just getting an mot on it, using it over the summer and seeing how I feel about keeping it. Really trying to resist the urge to buy more shite! id say keep the LDV! not only because I quite like them (he says never having driven one LOL) and id be sad to see it go but also because its nice to see a nice clean older panel van thats not been turned into a camper van/had windows stuck in the side etc and who knows when another one like it might come along plus being a van you have a good excuse to keep it in that its a useful tool and not just a toy but yeah the main reason is I quite like seeing it and dont want it to go LOL

I take offence at the inaccurate representation of my E36 above. That looks far too shiny to be my car. I also realise what a prime lens can do now. Those photos are sharp. cort1977 and DodgyBastard 2
TrabbieRonnie Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 Looks another great meet, well done 👍. Can't be bad if you're needing a bigger venue!
paulplom Posted March 22, 2022 Posted March 22, 2022 I need to attend and meet the Scottish massive. I want the 300c back first. Five or six hours in a 107 doesn't really appeal.
DodgyBastard Posted March 25, 2022 Author Posted March 25, 2022 Took the Cortina along to my usual place for some mot prep, the weather is far too nice at the moment to be pissing around changing sumps so I've opted for someone else doing the work and whatever else it might need. It started straight away and drove 5 miles without losing any oil or any other major issues. Also sitting at the garage was that barried 505 gti I almost bought. mk2_craig Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 That looks dreadful but strangely appealing at the same time. bigfella2, Tenmil Socket and Psycho Charlie Knobcheese 3
reb Posted March 25, 2022 Posted March 25, 2022 It's the headlights that ruin it for me, the rest of it is forgivable. The 505 has one of the most interesting headlight designs, and they got rid of them for shitty rectangles? Austat, cort1977, Crackers and 3 others 6
DodgyBastard Posted March 25, 2022 Author Posted March 25, 2022 I think the headlights are from a fiat 127, still look gash though. The owner has the original headlights but has chosen to keep the fiat ones for some reason.

DodgyBastard Posted March 27, 2022 Author Posted March 27, 2022 First decent outing this year on the old 2 strokes, went up to Kinross and along to Knockhill and back. I also bought a drone so spent a bit of time pissing around with that. mercedade 1
yes oui si Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 That 505 looked better when Slater first built it:

DodgyBastard Posted April 2, 2022 Author Posted April 2, 2022 We bought a drone so have been pissing about making videos with it. Shite Ron, Supernaut, JeeExEll and 1 other 4
DodgyBastard Posted April 3, 2022 Author Posted April 3, 2022 I went and fetched Ged's 305 with the 504. My knob fell off on the way there so made changing gear interesting. With the 305 now back at the unit there's a small chance some work might be done on it. Austat, LightBulbFun and adw1977 3
paulplom Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 See @jakebulletfor a custom pool ball gear knob. I've had a couple/few.

I bought a DJI mini se "fly more combo" from Argos for £360. It comes with a couple of extra batteries and charging dock which are much needed as battery life isn't amazing. S2000 1
DodgyBastard Posted April 9, 2022 Author Posted April 9, 2022 Went and bought a C90 today. Great fun! RayMK, Three Speed, mk2_craig and 9 others 12
DodgyBastard Posted April 16, 2022 Author Posted April 16, 2022 I bought a towbar mounted bike rack last weekend. There didn't seem to be a good area to hook the ratchet straps onto so I made some hooks and welded them on. Tickman, timolloyd, LightBulbFun and 3 others 6

Back_For_More Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Isn't that how Tarantino got started? Loving the 505......... what are they like to drive? Long journeys comfy or noisy/rattly type of impression? I've actually never mananged to be in one ever.... I have a distinct aversion to Cortinas after many freezing nights doing rear arm bushes on the bastards but your estate is a corker!
DodgyBastard Posted April 21, 2022 Author Posted April 21, 2022 Decided that seeing as nobody was interested in buying the 305 I would just keep hold of it and do some "improvements"... The rear bumper was full of rust and holes so I put my metal folder to good use and made another one. Still needs some minor adjustments but happy enough with how it turned out.
