I've just got home exhausted and sunburnt as usual.

An excellent day all round and the day just disappeared, before I knew what was happening the show was over and it was home time. It was great to catch up with people and there never seems to be enough time to speak to everyone.

Thanks for organising it Billy, and it was a shame you couldn't make it. I hope the eye is nowt serious mate.

We've not been here five minutes and the club we parked next to has called our cars shit and moves away! Going well.

How could anyone who drives a Vauxhall call that fine display cars shit, especially a Stellar with a Rover V8 in it.

It'll take a lot more than that to scare the Toyota Enthusiasts Club away :)

(For reference, I was in the blue Corolla estate so wouldn't have looked out of place on either pitch :) )

doobie's Stellar

I didn't realise he had one too! ;-)

I'm bloody hopeless remembering who people are.

So am I  Good to meet you though :-) Bye to anyone I missed when leaving - I thought it'd be best to miss the queue getting out, and while I had my engine was running (sticky starter solenoid almost stranding me in the arena...)

Shame you couldn't make it LS and Billy, but thanks for organising it...the Shady Oak was a good choice for both camping and eating!

Why do I fancy that he's gone and bought something so utterly gopping his eyes have gone on strike to teach him a lesson?

Mightily pissed off I couldn't make this, my favourite motoring related day out of the year, bar none.

I silently made our way into the event, parked up next to some fine automobiles & switched off the engine. No sooner had the purr the 4 cylinder ceased when we were moved to the back of the field  :? Grundig Jnr set about making a photographic record of the gathering

There was a roar of appreciation (which caused bewilderment to the show organiser) when this pug entered the arena

The Pleasure Wagon performed faultlessly and has redeemed itself. Much relief.

Big thanks to everyone for a brill weekend, good to meet a couple new faces. Sorry we didn't see you Billy and Mo; and Lanky_Tim, Jon, MMMark etc... where were the usual suspects?

Posted

Having a shite weekend, by all accounts (and not in a good way).

Looks like a decent enough way to spend a Sunday; hope you infuriated a few duffers in the concours.

That balloon made its way to our stand, so I tied it to the nearest available Toyota.

I also did an insane amount of name/face forgetting. Lovely weekend though. Glad the Vauxhall lot buggered off!

THE MIGHTY PRIDE has returned home to the north. 475 miles at 48ish mpg, I'm not crippled... it's the car that keeps on giving.

Cheers for the excellent day chaps!

That A310 was lovely, the owner was a nice chap as well, he even gave myself and Skizzer a demonstration of the kwality wiper action.... I should have taken a video.

Looks like you all had a ace day guys. I'd love to have gone to this but frankly, your bloody miles away from me! Enjoyable photos though!

I got home about 10:15, just short of 600 miles.

hope you infuriated a few duffers in the concours.

Oh yes.

It was a great weekend, thanks to Cavcraft for organising things. I hope your eye is better, I have a recurring eye condition and it's not nice.

Thanks again to Station for the ramps, I was badly needing a set.
