Possibly, aye but I'd rather get it home on Saturday. Don't fancy the idea of it breaking down on the way home on Sunday and struggling to get home for work the next morning.

Besides the 740 hasn't been to a shite gathering since Shitefest Malham.

I know what you mean David, I was just thinking of it saving you driving 500 miles or so.

Skiz/Ceri: why don't you meet me, Mr Conelrad & Junkman at the Little Thief on the 556 just off gate 19?  Olympic Breakfasts are planned.

Still looking to come to this with KV6 but financially things are getting VERY tight to a point of snapping (surprise surprise)

David, wouldn't it be easier to park the bus up somewhere on Saturday and get a lift in with someone Sunday?

Plus, if it was nearby we could come and have a sit behind the wheel and make brum brum noises look at it :D

Is the bus pre 2000?

One of us will give you a lift, Mo.  To see the Rover would be nice, but it's more important to see you.

The tickets are per car I think, so passengers are free.

Sporty, I think the bus is old enough, but it's a bus not a car,so not allowed in to car show.

Because it's not really on the way and I'd have to get up extra earlier. 'Tis tempting though.

Sociability-wise it's a great idea and a most welcome invitation, thank you.  But as with Ceri, it's a long way beyond Chodmongley for me and I'll probably be late anyway.  If I go across country, which is fairly likely, then even Keele (no pun intended) is a chunky detour.

I might run up for a brekkie,I'll see what time I'd need to get up to make it work though

And,I hope you lucky campers have got you thermals !

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/weather/11840665/UK-weather-polar-plume-means-icy-conditions-this-weekend.html

Temperatures are expected to drop to freezing in parts of Britain at night this weekend as a blast of Arctic air hits the country.

Forecaster Brian Gaze of The Weather Outlook said the arrival of a so-called polar plume “means very chilly nights and ground frosts are possible, with a chance of 32F (0C) in sheltered parts of northern England and Scotland.â€Â

The Met Office said that even though in the South temperatures could rise as high as 64.4F (18C) the windchill will make it feel 59F (15C).

Tickets are for car and up to four people.

And as for the bus, does anyone have any pictures of the horsebox conversion we had a few years ago? Went down a treat!

chunky detour.

Would you be coming up the A49? There's a truck stop just south of Whitchurch (can't remember what it's called) at Prees Heath; we could form an 80's executive convoy from there.

Properly excited about this. Will be attempting to fit a 12v power outlet to the Dyane tomorrow as I really can't be arsed with an actual map. What time are folk getting to the campsite/pub?

Hmmm.  This is acksherley more 'on my way' than the Little Thief option.

Decisions, decisions.

Yep, that would be grand. Probably more like 9.30 though by the time I get there - it's a good 3 1/2 hours from home and I'm not in the SVM ;-)

Dash you and your impregnable logic, sir.

Grumble mumble grumble what time do you call this grumble mumble.

I'm actually a bit unwell at the minute and have an annual bike ride to do Saturday, so I'm praying I'll be ok for Sunday. Skttrd, can you PLEASE message me Sat night and remind me to bring the wings and headlights? I'll only bloody forget if you don't!

Wings and Headlights.......Is that the name of the band playing "tunes from the 70's/80'/90's" as we all roll in the gate?

Posted

I'll try to remember to message you Saturday night mate.

Can someone remind me to message Cavcraft Saturday evening - Thx.

Hey! I've visited this place a few years ago after getting lost trying to get out of the countryside and getting my ShatNav to recognise where I actually was.

 3h 22minutes?

I think not. (Am i the only one that plays "beat the satnav?")

Reckon if I leave at 6.00am, in THAT SPANISH BASTARD should be ok......bacon cobs will be my incentive.

Great. So we'll see you there Sunday morning, right?

Still unsure yet, my car still hasn't got an MOT and I don't know what my finances will be like that day.

It's not looking good for the Dyane. I still can't get it running nicely. I'll see if I have time this afternoon to drop the tank and check the pipework atop it. If that has perished, it might explain the symptoms.

Peugeot exhaust fixed: Check

Tank full of veg oil: Check

Boot (partly) full of Toyota wings and headlights: Check

Does that mean you don't need a reminder to bring the Toyota bits now?
