There is only one reasonable answer to that question.  The clue is in the formatting above.

;)

BX it is then.

Anyway, I don't think I'll have time to sort the aunt as work has turned a little mental (apart from popping up to Scotland for dinner, that is)

Bring the Rover man,  half of us have owned that BX never mind seen it ;)

If it ends up being the BX. It might end up being a bit different from when you owned it. It all depends on time and access, sadly.

5 weeks to go people, is your shite ready?

No.

I'm hoping its rear calipers will be reunited with it sometime in the next week, but based on past performance the likelihood of that happening is about 0.1%.

Posted

The seatbelt warning light keeps flashing on the Merc.  I may have to bring the 205...

Posted

Carisma is terminally shite but also quite modern. Anyway, some filters and an oil change should prepare it for the trip south.

Posted

Golf is ready to go as always but hoping to buy something older and shiter before June but if car buying goes the way of most of my plans it will be the golf...

Posted

Punto got an oil leak, banging exhaust and Flashing eml so yes I'm ready to go!

And now accident damage.
Posted

I've filled the 760 Turbo up for the third time since Friday. If this keeps going I'll need four tanks of pez to get to Wales :/

Posted

Are you going to attempt to sleep in the lack of Carisma Adrian?

Attempt to, aye. It'll still be better than trying to sleep in a tent!

And I thought mines was bad

I've gradually talked myself into a front suspension rebuild on the Escort so the volvo 760 is going to be the only vehicle ready. Undoubtedly more comfy to sleep in too should my 9.99 tent fall apart overnight.

alex conveyance purchased yet?

Posted

God this is looming large now. I will be bringing XOG or whatever wank I buy before then.

Posted

The 440 is currently the favourite for my trip down. Unless it catastrophically fails, I raffle it off or I buy something even more worthy...

Posted

I'm torn now I've looked back at the advert for that rather nice Rover R8...

Posted

As previously stated, myself and cms206 will be 760 Turboing the fuck out of it. On the note above of another 760 attending due to Escort suspension rebuilding, mines is going for major fettling tomorrow at Mr Ron Sealey Volvo specialist in Cowdenbeath. Mainly front suspension. So the NS wheel/hub stays...emm...attached.

Hopefully he does what he says on the tin. There...I said it! Just so noone else has to.

It has occurred to me that it wouldn't be all that difficult to get the 2CV to the Saturday. Anyone bringing an A frame? ;) It's barely any distance at all to the hotel, but I'd still rather not risk driving it on the road.

Mine will only be there if I can get it to do more than 200 miles on a tank. If not it'll be the Council Estate... took fifteen minutes fettling to get the 760 to run well enough to hit 30mph to get to work at all this morning so confidence isn't high.

I'd love to but the sodding thing isn't even entertaining 30mph, was sitting at 15-20 most of the way in misfiring like a motherfucker; it's running rich as fuck, won't idle and when you do get it wound up it overboosts and cuts the fuel off

 Anyone bringing an A frame?

I'll be in the Pleasure Wagon, loads of space, so I can throw mine in. Do you thing we need bother with the trailer board for the trip across the village?

Edit - I'll likely chuck that in as well, just in case anyone needs emergency A.R.S.E. services.

Hmmm how clean is the air filter?does it have the prerequisite pair of scabby y-ers?

Dies it have an air flow meter or a hot wire maf?tried running it with the afm diconnected?

anyone else driving a MGF Milf-magnet to the event? Or is mine the only one going?

Not even looked at it mechanically yet; it runs okay, albeit mega rich, when it's warm though even at that with a heavy foot the boost gauge goes off the end of the scale and it cuts the fuel. Fuel filter could probably be doing with changing too, though I'm sure Jonathan said he did an oil and filter (bar fuel) change. Needta sort out an idle control valve too.
