Jeeez that was/is rusty, I hadn’t appreciated how bad it was when I saw the car in the FoD.

I’ve welded inner wings that bad before on my old 17D. But that front panel, almost nothing left.

Well done to you and your brave welder for taking that one on.

You know something is rusty when you look down through the floor and see your feet on the ground.

All my cars that have needed welding ( ie most ) have been worse on the nearside. Welder says it’s down to the road puddles and debris being thrown up.

Part, if not most, of the problem is that these things weren’t that well rust proofed from new. My 2cv was dinitroled early on in its life and has the original sills still.

It was because of the GT project starting that I did not want to take on the repairs to the Super E or buy and recommission the Visa 14TRS.

One cannot live with visas alone, although you seem to be gaining a monopoly.

Bloody simply, bung @Saabnut a good drink and have it literally dropped off on your driveway very very easily...

It is almost at the bottom of France, 817 miles.

How about by phone - "hello can I get you some authentic Toulouse Sausage while I'm here?"

What have you got, Toulouse?

I got the threatening SORN letter from the Trevi.

I received the new V5C 17-1-20 and their letter is dated 25-1-20. A bit slick as I had waited weeks to get the V5C for it.

That Renault is gorgeous, and I say that as someone who thought 14s were a load of crap in the 1980s - mainly because all the UK ones were fucked with rot by the time I noticed them.

The seat fabric is reason for purchase alone!  I also love the driving/fog lights, although how much use they were when mounted that low is debatable.

The seat trim very much reminds me of the material the seats in my van under the covers fitted by Autotrail are made from.

I am planning to go to the Field of Dreams tomorrow with Andyrew to work on the Citroen CX, if anybody wants to come and say Hi you are most welcome.

I believe Wingz123 is delivering Lightbulbfuns trailer tomorrow for added action.

I plan to be there soon after 11am.
