Cavcraft 2015: Vectra, because you're worthless.

Just out of interest, how much did you give for that Fiesta ZS TDCi if you don't mind me asking?

Looks 1000000x better than the usual fodder to fill this topic :)

That and the Astra cost me one large for the pair, though different sellers.

Fiesta now for sale, Autotrader suggested a price of £2,795, and one of those skanky 'we-buy-your-car' type places offered £1,700. If anyone on here fancies it for two grand give me a shout, ta.

Was the fiesta actually majorly fucked in the end or did it just need new springs and a bulb or 2 and you got a steal?

Have you tried other car buying services?

TrustedCarBuyers gave me about two hundred more than WBAC, and they knocked off pretty much nothing when they saw it. Bonus is they hardly test drove it, which was nice of them as the flywheel was shot.

Surely that would disappear like a Fray Bentos at a tramp convention if it was on Autotrader for £2250

It went straight through with a handful of advisories! I've lobbed it up for £2395, let's see what happens.

At least you know it doesnt overheat mate.

Reset the service indicator while youre sitting.  Think its press the thing in, let go,  then hold in for ten seconds, finish.

Like sex.

Disappointed? I'm fucking delighted.

No, but the MOT advisory for 'slight blow on the exhaust' actually transpired to be it sounding like a tank and losing all but one of it's feeble BHP. When I eventually get my other one back I'll swap the exhausts over, which you just know will be different to piss me off.

I changed the whole exhaust on mine n/a dizzler 306 for about 45 quid or something from ecp.

Obvs the first one was wrong and stuck out bazooka style.

I love 306's there such a good all round car, they handle great and ride perfect. I reckon a proper nice one could be kept for ages, there simple, dirt cheap and rugged.

If you need fuel filters, ECP are doing later XUD ones for £1.79 at the moment!

Agreed.

And a clean one in a nice metallic can be a really smart, pretty car.

I've driven a few and they live up to the hype, big style. Also the flimsy trim rep was true to form in my experience, but meh.

The only disappointment for me was this: I found the steering lock truly appalling. Has anyone else noticed this? I've not tried one as a daily, but that put me off a bit.

Is it some form of experimental chameleon paint job?

I can't tell where the car ends and the garage door begins

I did notice that's it's rolling on 13" rims, I always thought these were supposed to have 14" ones, probably running 175/65 (or as near as damn it) rubber. Anyhow, I still have some spare 306 alloys from a TD I briefly owned, so weather/CBA not withstanding, I'll put them on later and then fit the Speedlines when I eventually drag my other car back.

Back in  a 306 Billy, you do seem to have a soft spot for those things.

Picked missus up this morning who 'knew I was there because I could smell your car down the corridors.' So that'll be some chip hungry patients at the hospital today.

Just seen my mate Jeff the chef, he's off to Makro and says 20 litres of veg in the plastic tubs is only about £13, so he's going to get me three.

That's bloody cheap, only 45p a litre more than the used stuff I bought recently, and I have to process the shit out of it.

Yo Billy, if you're on the veg it might be worth a pm to Will cabbage for some used veg.

I like the rag down the side of the flap as that area on my motor is stained and sticky (ooer). I just consider it rust proofing though.
