Lotus had the JPS deal for much of the 70s and into the 80s.   The JPS scheme was probably added to this one by a dealer.  

 

Chapman died in mid fraud in 1982, just before Inspector Knacker could feel his collar for the DeLorean scam.

 

This car was well kershaggerated when I bought it in late September, but is now my daily station runner thanks to Roy Gillard, top spannerista to the distressed gentry.

The dashboard is total pants.  The wiring was done by some nutter.  V modern, though - fibre optic lighting for the switches.  Doesn't work, natch.    Instrument lights emit standard "I have no clue how fast we are going or whether there is any fuel" glow. 

 

NB- upside down SD1 tail lights be stylin'.
