Shite Swapz, now haz Camry!

I'm thinking about selling my Carlton, I haven't used it that much since buying it but it's always been reliable, and passed it's mot in June with no issues. I'm enjoying the fuel economy of my diesel 306 so would probably swap the Carlton for something diesel.

Since buying the car I've changed the thermostat, replaced a rear light cluster, wired in an electric fan and found a set of door trims as they were missing.

There's little to no rust on the car but there's plenty of scrapes and scratches, the heater blower doesn't work, I've not really paid it much attention but found out that the dash doesn't need to be removed to change the motor as it's accessible under the bonnet...

120k is nothing for one of these.

I haven't found any rot yet, there's a blister inside the door on the rear wheel arch but other than that I've not seen any.rust.

Absolutely the best colour and wheels they ever came in, too.

I thought corsaviour would have been beating a hasty path north....

FYI Billy I did a shiply quote for pretty much the same journey in reverse when I was looking at the MG for sale local to you and it was a shade over 200 quid, so not horrenous

I would actually fly up and drive it back, but I'm on my arse at the moment.

I'd even have given you a lift from edinburgh airport to dunfermline in my shitey cavalier

I was put on passenger duties in this when the previous owner had it and I can confirm it is a decent waftbarge.

This was the closest Vauxhall ever got to building a Citroen CX Familiale.

Slovely.

My Dad had the same model as this but the Auto, lovely car if a little slow in Automatic guise so this should be more spritely.

You have under sold it as I think it's got velour and not cloth by the way!

Corsaviour sorry, it sold today on eBay. It was a 48, large. I work for the distributor and one of my jobs is listing the ex demo bikes. There's always stuff going though. Drop me a pm and I can see if there's anything that suits coming up.

Those Camrys were the last of the "engineering cost is no object" Toyotas, the Oriental W123 Mercedes if you like.

I drove Spottedlaurel's V6 Camry at the last Marham trackday.  It gave a surprisingly good account of itself for such a big wafty old barge.
