Peugeot 205GTI phase 1 and Fiat Strada mark 2 share the same door mirrors...

Rider: It might not be this exact Fiat model (memory fading with the years and all that ;) ), but one of the Fiat range had the same mirrors first before the erstwhile GTI adopted them :) .

The Honda NSX is based on the Austin Maestro.

I'm sure there's a Ginetta that uses Mk2 Fiesta doors and side repeaters...

Ginetta used looooads of Ford stuff didn't they?

Didn't someone on here have one of those a few years back?

Those lights have actually been used all over the place, they are made by Hella and have the part number of 4169. You can buy them in the US for less than $35.

I've seen them used on a few buses in the UK also. I was just amused as those two were polar opposites :D

How cheerfully non-grey everything was back then!

People came up with cool stuff when fags and booze were still allowed in offices.

I thought the rear lights on the Lotus Europa were from the Alfa Romeo GTV, but they're not.  Are they unique to the Europa or have Lots done their usual and nicked them from someone else? t_Lotus%20Europa%20Special%20tail.jpg

It seems some earlier Europas did use Alfa Giulia coupe rear lights but when the GTV came out one of the improvements was bigger tail lights, that wouldn't fit in Lotus applications- Élan,+2 and Europa. So Lotus used thesepost-17414-0-83608600-1415941321_thumb.jpg

Although E-Types didn't ever seem to have integral reversing lights, I guess that's what 'add lightness' means.

Pity we don't still have a member who's username implies he should be an expert on these things, to confirm this .

The bumpers on the lotus europa and front bumper on a 60's elan are from a ford anglia and the grille surround on the base model anglia is used on the 60's elan upside down. Which is a pain as meant I had to pay a premium for the missing grille trim on my anglia. And as said the elan and europa used alfa 105 rear lights. I think the rear bumper on the elan was from the wolseley hornet.

Interesting to see how much supercars shared the same lights. Cost pressure existed in the 1970 too...

I once wrote on VZi that a VW K70 shared it's doors with an NSU RO 80 and no-one picked me up on what is clearly an ADO17 based gag.

But not at Bentley in the 90s, apparently...

Look at the back-side of the Mahindra Bolero:

Looks familiar?

They just used the rear-lights of the first generation Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero/Shogun. But upside-down.

I thought I had seen them on coaches too but I can't name any examples. I saw a coach a while back that had a full set of BMW E30 3 Series headlights.

The Rover 25 and Rover Streetwise are related and the majority of their parts are interchangeable.

That reminds me of a TOP TIP: if you need spare trim bits etc for a 25: find a 200 R3 in a breaker. The bits are the same fitment, but better quality.
