That's the first time I've seen a 71bhp diesel referred to as 'very powerful.' Or possibly the second. I've just remembered a friend remarking that I'd bought a car that actually accelerates - in reference to my first BX. Well, 71bhp does trump a 2CV's 29.

The bloke selling that Saab used to be spitting distance from Castle_Ceri. He's moved up the road now, but he had a goldish-silver 9-3 for months and months before that. Probably the same one.

Right folks. Domestic bliss is at stake here. Would one of you fine people please buy my Rover or I'll blow my next invoice payment on a big Citroen and will end up living in it. At least it is a big Citroen. Might even be comfortable. I prefer a bed in an actual house though.

But how much is it anyhow?

£350 is the asking price on here. Asking more elsewhere but, equally, some movement is entirely possible. It's got about £250 worth of tyres on it!

Also, I forgot that I do have a 'correct' pair of rear lights for it, though one unit is cracked a bit. HOW'S DAT 4 AN OFFER!

Is it AS law now that Billy has to buy Ian's cars when he's done with them?  And/or vice versa?

;)

Billy has only had a few of my cars, and only one of those directly I think.

Seriously, this car is too reliable and boring for me. It gives me nothing to work with. I'm hoping a cheap XM can remedy that.

Another freebie you get is a spare ignition module AND it now has MATCHING heater knobs. The generosity of members of this forum is palpable.

Tyres are 195 55 R15 just in case you were wondering if they'd fit your car. Alloys are Rover 45 I believe.

How has this not sold?

How?

I bet if you were based in Derby or Leeds, this would have been snapped up before youd finished typing.

To prove what a pain in the arse the new tax rules are, I'm going to have to send off the green slip with a V62 to get the car in my name. Otherwise, when I sell it, the refunded tax will go to the previous owner. DOH! So, if you want legit paperwork, you might have to wait for a bit.

A cheap XM will certainly remedy that, and you will end up living in it too as you borrow the rent/mortgage money to keep it running.

Honestly, I seriously considered a not-cheap W reg 2.0 CT Turbo VSX - 50,000miles and a folder of bills that would make Bill Gates think twice  - and it still had a steering rack leak that was an advisory for the last two mots.  Not too long later I bought the Mercedes.

I did indeed spot that. However, the future just has to be Bertone-styled. I will own a 600 one day, but it is not this day.

Confused, thread title says sold, but no posting of joyous celebration.

What's up?

Well, despite a virtual handshake, I've not got the deposit in the bank yet. Let's hope the larger lady is still going to warm up her vocal chords.

The next vehicle is lined up, but I'm having to wait for another pay day (hopefully next week) as this supreme luxury vehicle costs vastly more than the Rover. (well, vastly by my standards). Also, the owner of said vehicle is very kindly doing a water pump and cambelt change prior to me collecting it. You're going to have to wait folks. Sorry.

Water belt and cambelt points at something K series (unlikely, one Rover is making way so another would be unlikely to appear), something Citroen (very likely) or a Triumph TR7 (highly unlikely).

I expect we'll be seeing DW's new Daihatsu Copen soon then.

And no doubt back from a Rally with fun* and humorous* stickers on it

I have now received a deposit for the Rover, so that's looking nice and certain. Caper excitement is kicking in already, but it's probably still at least a week until I'll find myself aboard a train once more.
