I have amended it. Oops. I hope someone does buy it. So far this year, I have utterly failed to buy a car I really, really want.

I don't want the Rover, but am desperate to see what cracking randomly chosen chod Dollywobbler buys from the dark recesses of Lidl's car park by accident as soon as he has 2 farthings to rub together.

Please somebody buy this so that the excitement can continue.

Witnessing others purchase random vehicles from random locations is nearly as good as first-hand purchases of that sort :-) Hope the Rover sells soon, to enable another collection thread...

Maybe I should try crowdfunding. Get folk to chuck a few quid at me each and see what wreck I can get home. People who contributed then get the thrill of new car collection without any of the associated stress. Perfect!

This is Autoshite : it's the stress and disappointment that most of us are actually after

Edit : GLWTS, I would have definitely bought it if I didn't already have one etc.

I could be interested in this when the Merc sells.

Does it have powah steering?  Could be a deal-breaker unfortunately as it's for Mrs_WoC.

Yes, it does have PAS. Bloomin' good it is too. It's a beautiful steer. Right, someone buy Ceri's Merc then! We can start a magnificent Autoshite Trade Train if we put our heads together.

Absolutely no interest at all. Only two cars are of interest. Rover 600 and Citroen XM. Especially Jonathan_Dyane's XM.

Volvo 940 diesel auto estate on Cornish gumtree for 650 . Just sayin like.

Absolutely no interest at all. Only two cars are of interest. Renault Kangoo (Dead Dog edition) and Vauxhall Zafira. Especially Corsaviour's Kangoo. Or maybe his Zafira. Or possibly even his Vectra diesel

Can't fault you, pm me when you're ready.

I would offer up the T5 but I'm sort of enjoying the sport mode too much.

25ish mpg is a bonus lol

Hmmm. I don't think people realise just how little money I have. The Volvo is out of my price range!

I am having second thoughts about an XM though. Not sure I can really afford to run one at the moment. What I really need is something cheap and reliable that just does the job. You know, like a Honda-engined Rover perhaps...

No. Had my fun with Sirions. I really need something that's good for long-distance work, would be handy if it could haul a trailer too but decent MPG also needed. I need practical but interesting.

I know it's totally against the Dollywobbler fleet policy to keep a car more than a few weeks, but I think you'll struggle to find a car that's more practical, more reliable and cheaper to run than an R8 for £300.
