Paypal would probably just get all threatening about claiming the money back - debt collectors and whatnot - and since they're a proper real bank you'd probably also see a debt show up on your credit report. Whether  this is legit or not doesn't matter, it'd still be there until you put a lot of effort in to getting it adjusted.

 

I'd just play with him for a bit longer, see if he'll take a photo of his toothbrush or something before sacking it off.
