Two cars, but none working. Time for a third...

My two peugeots have let me down, so it's time to get something else.

The 306, although running strong is about to expire, the osf wheel bearing is howling like a Cessna on full chat, and the back suspension looks like it's collapsed. Sounds like it too. The MOT is due in about 2 weeks, and it hasn't got a cat in hells chance of getting another one. So this will be heading to the frag unless anyone wants it on here for the price of the remaining tax and whatever the bridge would give me.

The 205, The mot has expired, and it has taken to leaking all it's water out of the coolant level sensor on the expansion tank. It over heated badly on the way back from Harrogate the last time I used it, which caused the brakes to fail - they came back once it cooled down. I have subsiquently driven it down to Sheffield where I now reside, and it was ok, so hopefully no OMGHGF. It shouldn't need much for the test, but as I'm working away most of the time, I don't have the time to sort it. This can wait until I get more time as I'm rather attached to it.

So, Does anyone have something, for much cheapness? I'm talking £300 tops, with some MOT and possibly tax??

Nothing for £300, but wouldn't mind a dew bits off the 306 if it's getting fragged. Need a heater control panel, blower motor, aetof clocks and possibly an ABS sensor.

Where has that £200 with tax and test thread gone? Probably worth checking if that's been updated lately, some of the stuff on there looked 'ok'

Also if it's a diesel Dug Wrong might want the engine.

The 306 is a Turdbo Disesel. Lucas Pump for GR0 on veg. But it goes well. It has done 185k with little or no maintainance though.

Off topic, but is Auschwitz the Audi still in existence?

My TD 205's MOT'd until early November, and taxed for 6 months...but has an MOT failure sheet from an early, "heads-up" test that includes welding - fancy it?

The Audi was sold a while back to a chap from Castleford, who used to own it before you.

I have managed to bag myself a car of much cheapness. Which I will be collecting next week. So if anyone is interested in taking the 306 off me give me a shout.

It's a 306 meridian, 181k and rough. however it's done sterling service and never let me down. It's taxed until the end of october, and has about ten days MOT left.

Motorhog have offered me £110 for it to weigh in. so match that and take it away.

What about giving Will the 306 in payment for fixing the 205?  he's even in the right county.

But make sure you steal the gearbox and smash the rear window out first.

If he's interested that would work for me...

£300 for a Celica with a new MOT, thats just had full service including cambelt? Surely someone is making a healthy loss there?

Yep, they apparently just spent £700 on the above.

My mate got charged with getting rid of it, but no bites from gumtree or the bay.

It's an old shit car innit.

I can't wait to have a go in this as these were on my watch list but have never driven one. We might have to have some temporary swappage at some point.

These are another car I really wanted when I was 17 that you can get for £500 now. Totally smashing old boy.

I'm expecting it to be a pretty dull drive to be honest.
