On the search for a different propshaft as the one for a 5speed box is shorter compared to the one on the car......fun times.

Sometimes happens with mine, they appear okay on the phone then do this.

 

I find uploading onto laptop, check all orientations correct on Windows, then re upload... Unless someone here knows otherwise?

Danut appears to have fitted the Romanian spec anti gravity generation device. Very handy for overtaking in tunnels

 

On another level, another vote for 5 speed. Keep the old box and prop should you ever need to return it to standard. You know, for those times when the local hardman insists your pickup has an even number of forward speeds.....

Just been told by Danut the car will have ceramic laquer?

 

What on earth is that? I thought laquer is laquer........but apparently this is a fancy laquer, only the best for this ultra rare multi million pound vehicle ))))))

Ceramic lacquer is what they use on new stuff. It's just harder for a more lasting finish. Looking forward to the rest of the pics.

Loving it. But what on earth are you going to do with it, once done? It'll be too good to use as a pick up?

If anyone has anything related to Dacia Shifterossa PLEASE let me know!!! I have only ever seen one article in a newspaper that mentioned Dacia Shifterrosa. I'm very keen on finding out a little bit more about its history........tracked down a guy that used to work for the importer of the cars back in the day on linkedin but he won't accept my request to contacvt him.

The graphics will be done once it comes back to me, Danut has politely asked me to have this done as he doesn't have anyone that he truts and is to worried about potential damage to the paint in case it's done wrong.

 

To be honest, unless he can do it or knows someone that he trusts do have it done, he will not undertake the task......which I admire.

I can't wait to see this at Le Mans which camp site will you be on so I don't miss it. We will be on Houx but in an 807 with a caravan I expect unless I can get the tow bar sorted on the Rolls
