Ideas on value. Honda Accord Estate. (Apologies now added)

The time has come to change our daily for a newer version. Honda Accord Estate, 2.0 manual petrol/LPG. Silver. 53 reg. 10 months MOT and taxed until August.

LPG conversion certified and registered.

Car has good service history and has been faultlessly reliable in the six years of our ownership. Now done 190k. Couple of marks on bodywork but very presentable and scrubs up well. Cat D due to bent rear bumper 18 months ago but has been repaired properly!

The car is being replaced by another Accord Estate, but an 07 with 42k, as we tend to keep them for 5/6 years and do over 30k per year.....

The old girl deserves a quiet retirement now, so....

Any ideas on value?

What year is it Bob? Sounds like the ideal sort of thing for a small trader or someone who needs something capacious to chuck bikes/dogs in for weekend jaunts

As the 'trade in' offer was only £500 then I would be fairly happy with £600 TBH...

Well i recently aquired a 53 plated one with all the toys and leather with 90k under its wheels.

This came from good old ebay and after sitting at £650 for days it maxed out at £1367.

Its a good old girl except for a horrid flat spot when going from first to second and its low gearing makes it a bit thirsty

I think I would have been very tempted by that for £600 before I got the Xantia.

I think the 190K might put most off.

I have a 2.2 icdti and wish I'd bought a petrol one with an LPG conversion (Worth £1000 when new)

Bloke at work needs this car, but he's a bit of a knob and wouldn't recognise a good deal if it jumped on him.

I will email him this link

Had a PM or two already asking 'Ebay' type questions......

Is it perfect? Service history etc......

It is a 2003 Honda Accord Tourer. Current mileage 190,000. Dual Fuel. Three previous owners.

It is silver, never broken down in my ownership (5 years) and is Cat D for a dented bumper, now fixed.

Have done over 130,000 miles in it and it has never ever failed to proceed.....

What more can I say?

Been offered £500 as a trade in. Was looking for a realistic sales value....

I just know that this car will serve the next owner well..... After all, am only looking for £600 ish. To be asked about its service history, number of previous owners, and will I take £350 is frankly annoying!

Lol

I was gonna suggest a fresh MOT full tank of pez and £352.50 cash 2nite m8?

Na seriously £600 is a total barg, where is it up for sale?? Or just on ere?

Lol.

It does roughly 32 miles per gallon of unleaded. 30 miles per gallon on LPG. Although strangely on long motorway runs it also does 32 miles per gallon on gas...

I would recomend a mk7 accord to anyone.

I go to 1400+breakdowns a year and i cant remember ever attending an accord for anything other than a flat tyre or battery.

I like these, got to be worth a grand to someone especially as an estate with lpg!. When you PX a car with this mileage they're not interested they're just offering you a token amount to do the deal. I found pez Hondas to be a bit juicy but tough. It must be good as you're looking to replace it with the same car.

I didn't realise that a) that shape of Accord was getting so cheap and b ) they started making them so long ago.  £600 for an LPG'd estate sounds like a barg, even with that mileage.

TOWTAL BARG MAN. Like Wuvs_lad I hadn't realised that these were so cheap, however a quick look on eBay sees these going fae £1500+

Had I not bought the 827 Coupe I may well have been interested.......

Some of my private messages to you (and your replies) seem to have disappeared, Bob, and you've not answered some of my questions.

(Duncan Ballantyne) I've smelt enough rats in my time, so I'm oot.

Maybe he's not had time to go online?

He's had time to delete my messages, ignore questions and be on here twice since last night.

It's no drama, I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Well in 3 years of ownership, of a diesel gen 7,  I've broken down once, for a failed (Seized) alternator.  I am also needing to sort out 4 drop links, an exhaust manifold (a shit design on the diesel of  2 pieces of welded cast iron) and the ABS VSA light permanently on.

The repairs are going to cost more than Bob's Petrol car, but with 120 K I'm hoping for another 4 years out of it at least.

I had an 07 plate 2ltr derv one for a weekend once from work, I can't wait for them to hhitshite prices (if they last that long)

Was the tourer estate, was nice

The petrol one is the safest bet. As long as it's had regular oil changes and hasn't been run out ( they do drink a,drop )
