yes a literal translation in English.

I look out....
I drink Sinalco

It really would says

I guard...

I drink Sinalco.

This is a non alcoholic drink .

Maybe best say I do not drink and drive I drink Sinalco.

DE is our Dutchman here. Maybe he can correct my poor Dutch.

Is that an estefette or pug on its side ? Splittie would fetch telephone numbers now  even in that condition compared to the other van.

Looks like an Estefette to me, the upward sweep by the lights are trypical, the Peugeot is straight here (and has corrugated sides). However, the wings don't look quite right for the Reggie -

Waterloo Bridge.

I think it is London Bridge prior to demolition in 1967. Looking south from the City towards London Bridge Station.

The cranes on the left are in the Pool of London - the highest navigation point on the Thames for ships.

Very different today:

No, the preferred translation for "I guard" would be "ik bewaak". "I look out" or "I watch out" is correct in this context.

Unlikely, given that's an MG Magnette..

Thanks I did wonder! The difference is very subtle generally - ah the joys of 'badge engineering'.

They really were squeezing that lemon.
