Car is an early Renault I think. Screenshot_2024-06-24-12-00-41-058_com.android.chrome.jpg.7576da87d31690c9cc7b319011ace0b7.jpg

From the bonnet (engine cover) it looks like a De Dion Bouton to me.

Very odd undulating camber on the road there.

Clubman first registered in June 1977  and untaxed since 1991. 14 Yorkshire winters...

And a bit of an 'end of an era' photo of all British cars  - with a Japanese import  - a probable Colt Sigma -  just getting into the picture...

Is the Land Crab a bit low on the port side too?
Plus the guy on the far right foreground is wearing that Adidas T shirt - the one that we all scrimped and scraped to buy?

Hydrolastic suspension problems I'd guess. It's the Morris version too.

The road is still pretty much the same now ,mate lives minutes from there on hillside to right.

Don't remember a BL dealers but there was both a ford & vauxhall dealers there til I think the 00's vauxhall is now a McColls still has petrol station, ford was demolished & is now an Aldi.

This Air Mail post box would have been bright blue in colour, they only existed in the '30's. It's near the Mount Pleasant PO and sorting depot. Any idea what the car is? (all modernz look the same).

Hmmm, could be. I'm struggling to find a contemporary photo. But the ones I have found show a built in petrol tank. But they do have the curved body line, but not the recess below the window. However I'm sure there will be  several models and I'm no expert....

@martc My feeling is that it's a 1932 Ford Model B.  Most if not all Model As had the fuel tank in the scuttle, not the rear, whereas the Model B had a rear mounted tank (see below).  I can't find any British makes which have the same rear window proportions as the car in question.
