A mystery for @LightBulbFun

That's the pond at Oulton Park during the 1965 Tourist Trophy Race.

CUT 7 has been used on a few E-Types

CUT 7 / 738 EUT- Ex-Dick Protheroe Lightweight E-Type. (oldclassiccar.co.uk)

Also there has been more than one car claiming to be the original.

Here's one that was at Goodwood a couple of year ago that clearly does not have the low drag body work

cut7.thumb.jpg.06b82840cf06ec14f75e8bb4b29bf89f.jpg

further to that CUTxxx was first Issued in October 1943, so by the time of the Jags im pretty positive CUT7 would of already been a private reg, so I imagine it just gets transferred from one car to the next

so not much of a mystery in that regard :)

Didn't know Arthur replaced the combination with an Audi, looks like olive still wore the crash helmet though.

You’d have thought Santa would have got a better personalised plate than that.

French scrapyard - just look at what's available. Bagsy the Panhard and the Traction Avant.

I'll have the rest :)

I guess the angle of the light falling on the door is making it look like a bodged paint job rather than the paint job being actually bodged.

The door matches the boot lid quite well.
