Paris, 1954. I think the ageing Renault may have been on a road trip with places visited scribbled on the door, judging by the 'Liege' at the bottom.

Sheffield, 1968 (according to the Beeb) article is about a group of school mates who still meet up for a pint.
I don't think there's that many of my old school  mates even still live where the school is.

A 1960s photo of a city street, with a small white car in the foreground and an empty road in the left-hand background

it's been pedestrianised since around the date of pic.

I was there teatime today.

Only the left of picture is still there ( derelict for roughly the last 20 years) the market on right is waste land being "regenerated " into a city centre park.

This was the bustling heart of the city until it was run into the ground in the 90's

People don't realise the market share ford had in the 70/80's

Drinks were free in the olden days - and Citroen 2CV in failed walk-on part - probably belonged to the local hippie😂

My Dad had Mk 3,4 and 5 Cortinas and a mk1 Granada (76-87).He “defected” to Volvo and had a 740 and a 940 , mostly whilst under Ford ownership.

I had a Fiesta , Orion , Escort and Sierra (82-95).

Anymore info?

Not much, I'm afraid. According to the source of the picture it was a "mobile catering" bus, but how mobile would it be with teeny-weeny wheels like that?

I'd guess it's to get round some by-law. As long as it's got wheels it's a 'market stall' or mobile vendor or the like - not a building.

That's not to push it along - it's for creating a smoke screen or dispersing gas?

The thought was that the added plane engine could help propel the vehicle over the loose sands of the desert. However, rather unsurprisingly, because the chassis for the vehicle was not designed or graded for military use, there were many problems with the Sizaire-Berwick's Armored Wind Wagon, and the vehicle was never used in a real operation.

For rusting second to none would have been more appropriate, drove a few of these back in the mid 80’s that were owned by friends and they were nice to drive but rust was running rampant.

With traffic, shoppers and buses in 1971.

It's demolition was one of many 'improvements' to the City centre the Council have since done and been successfully in destroying it.

To back into your enemy and slice them to bits when you run out of bullets.
