Right click/copy

I've come across a few sites where they've disabled the ability to copy text by some form of witchcraft. You could try selecting the text, then pressing ctrl+c and then ctrl+v on here as above.

It doesn't work that way here  with explorer in windows8 - it's a real pain.

If this is about the right click menu being unavailable in the full editor then it's still broke. Sorry

How do I quote someone, other than a member of this 'ere forum?

 

Earlier on I found myself wanting to quote Winston Churchill. I used the quote button but it just said "quote", so I wanted to change this to "Winston Churchill said" or similar. I managed to get it in the editor but in the preview it still just said "quote", and then it kind of deleted all the text I'd written (not that most of my posts are undeserving of being deleted...) On other forums I can just write the code in square brackets with the name of the person or whatever in inverted commas ('cos it's bleedin' obvious), I can see that does the quote thing on here too, however it still just says "Quote" whatever I put in the box.

You could try selecting the text, then pressing ctrl+c and then ctrl+v to paste.

 

To quote.

Use full editor.

input what you want to quote

Highlight it then click Quote button in taskbar.

I agree, it's not much of an issue to anyone who knows what the keyboard shortcuts are, plus the icons in the taskbar (?) do the job, albeit in a wierd kind of way.

 

Still not getting anywhere with the quote thing.

Dont really understand what you want to do,only thing i can suggest is to click icon at top left of taskbar to toggle editor,then you can edit what you like.

Morning Dave, I can't access the open forum from my phone anymore, it just loads a blank page.

 

It's an HTC running Android and Firefox.

 

I can get into all other forums without any bother.

You know what I get that trying to go into the open forum in mobile mode, on my HTC One

 

Will try it again later and see if it still does it. Pressing back, going to 'full version' and trying again works fine

Is this after you click on 'More Reply Options'? After that I still can't find anything on the toolbr that lets me amend the title.
