Well the Alfa 147 has gotta go.

All jobs done for mot, cant afford to pay out for insurance & mot just to sell it so £350 as is
Failed mot on front exhaust flexible, airbag light & number plate lights.
Have bought good secondhand frontpipe and old one has been replaced.
Airbag light has been fixed however.
So it has got to go as is.
No tax or mot.
frontpipe now fitted.
Also have new exhaust mounts etc.
Much too nice to break, would take £350 as is.

That is good value! Always liked these, sadly it's a 3 door, and I don't like 3 doors anymore!

If you scrap it, I'll deffo be interested though

That is a good deal that. Someone local will want that, as its probably worth at least £600 with a test from looking on Ebay or maybe more on Autotrader etc. Can make £300 with a couple of hours work. Gotta be worth it.

'Front door open' light comes on when front door is closed. It is Italian.

Well in that case here is a big sack of Lira right here and can you drop the car off on Wednesday, thanks.    On my Italoshed not so long ago, if you honked the horn the wipers came on, and if you used the indicators the radio dialled up Milan.

mrs fordperv liked the look of this to use as a dog and work car but then she got a quote on insurance she said "i can insure 2 more escort rs turbos and a lada riva for that price" at which point i nearly fell over laughing but have a free bump to the top

Cracking car this, was very impressed with how it drove.

Still for sale.

been trying without success to find someone local to put exhaust back on for me so i can get it mot,d.

These drive brilliantly. If well maintained, they're pretty dependable too. Hope it goes to a good home soon.

I can swap you 2 Ace Cafe stickers, a London Car Museum sticker, a Payday bar from america and a medium sized ginger cat.

That really is a lovely car, there is something rather special about the look of an Alfa.

Sadly I cannot buy it as there are lights on the dash. It is clearly the left door that is open. Persevere with the downpipe, get it MOT'd and demand that higher price!

Bargain as is.

This truly is a fab looking car and on my bucket list. If you'd accept £75 pcm I would have her off you. Seriously, I would.

Possible new form of autoshite finance plan offered. Seriously.

Swap or hefty p/x on a Atala Califfone 49cc moped - 1999 model. Would need a light recommissioning as it hasn't run in a while but has been stored indoors and is tidy. Think it is dark blue. Will scan an image for you.

Fancy any of the options?

It's blue, has the double seat and rear rack.

Okay, guess that wasn't floating a water based transport orientated object then. Shame 'cos it was a genuine offer. Not for everyone though I suspect.

I'll chuck the moped up for sale here first and then probably the Bay of Evil. If not sold within 24 hours it'll be broken up and fed to unsuspecting kittens and nuns. Whoops, wrong forum. Silly me.

If this was within striking distance of home, I'd buy it purely to piss off the bloke I sit next to at work. He's got a 5 door 04 version of that, and he paid a lot when it was nearly new for it.

i really fancy one of these but....... sadly its wrong end of the country for me  :-(

If only someone from Essex was buying a car off me, they could drive this up and take the other one away.

Pah, that was last month!!

GLWTS etc. Massive barg, surely?

Rather than see this car scrapped I would lend someone here 350 to buy the car if they are vouched for as a decent sort by members of the shiter community and can pay the 350 back in, say, 6 months tops.    Interest rate: one pint of quite good beer.  Please tick here to opt in to annoying marketing messages and porn on yer phone.

I know it's late,  but I am neither drunk nor joking.    The car looks good and Dave works so hard on the forum software for nowt that I would do him a solid if I could.   I do not need the car myself and cannot justify buying it.

That's got to go down as Good Egg Offer of the Week, or even Year.  :-D   I can't help thinking I'd like to have a crack at this myself (B72 fund safe, by the way, I could just about deal with it) not least because I've never owned an Alfa of any type, but with no off-street parking at all, and two cars already, it might be a bit risky...

Posted

I'm quite tempted to get it back, my lad was daft to have sold it in the first place.

Dave; have you got the MOT failure sheet and if someone got it insured, could they drive it to that garage for a re-test? Just thinking it would probably help them and you if they could as they could also tax it afterwards and drive it home without worry?

Posted

I think it'll need a whole new test - it has been too long since its fail sheet.
