If you wanted to build a really good Nova SR then it does sound like a good base to start from and with the money its had spent on it already it might not be that expensive.

Jamaica yellow SRs were the best Tartan trim and the close ratio gearbox (that all the early SRs had).For some reason, the yellow ones seemed to rust less.

It’s the whole concept of worth thing again isn’t it? If all that bodywork’s been done properly and nothing else is knackered or missing, then it may well be worth it. To someone who wants one. Each to their own and all that. I’d certainly prefer this to trying to put a badly modified one back to how it should be.

 

Slightly bemused as to why having had so much work done he’s not found another painter.

I see the centre console and dash now, I didn't look at all the pictures before.Didn't know about the cloth option in an SE before though (can't say I'd even consider it myself).

Leather = cold in winter (seat heaters never work on classics) and hot and sticky in summer.Cloth is the only way to go though I keep finding myself looking at grey leather interiors on the bay

Nope, not mine. Belongs to Datman (Will Lightburn) as far as I know. I've only ever owned one 120Y and that was only for as long as it took me to pick it up and get it down to the exporters. Mustard with a tatty brown vinyl roof and an auto too. Grim motoring. It's probably chugging round west Africa now.
