Pah! Not even JDM ;)tooSavvy

I sold a JDM jack from a car I broke. Kids, eh?

Am I the only one tempted to actually buy it? Looks very pleasant. I'm not watching it though.

It's not overly expensive now. I think the main problem is the fact it has head gasket failure that he's mysteriously forgotten about.

Does it really though? These PSA engines go all mayo very easily if the ambient temperature is less than Mallorca in the summer.

Apparently so.  In one of the (many) previous listings he admitted that it wouldn't pass the emissions test IIRC and the garage said the most likely cause was head gasket failure.

It's pretty much scrap money now I think at £225 and the body looks very clean but for some* reason, no-one's biting!

you know that this has win written all over it!

The car is a legend in its own lifetime. Even the 20p coin could be extracted, encased in perspex and sold on for way more than its face value, such is its legendary status :)

My theory is that it's one of us, secretly LULZing himself to sleep every night at the thought of a few dozen grown men getting their collective knickers in a twist about one Puggy of epic fail. :)

I'd say that if you're handy with the spanners/K Seal it's probably worth a punt a £200.

Or it could be that it just needs a good Italian tune-up after sitting around for three years. The only things putting me off are the year (too new) and the bloke's feedback. He sounds like a bit of a twat. Oh, and no money.

Perhaps some folk have been to see it and something is amiss?

A change in circumstances has pushed me to sell my 405 quick so don't p*ss me around

fuck lol.

Perhaps the garage that diagnosed the 405 HGF just wanted him out of their workshop and to never come back. "Yeah mate, head gasket has gone. Also the rear wurzel has stripped, the flux capacitor has run out of sparks and the top flange is lower than the bottom. Three grand"

Do we know who found it/posted it first?

I found a reference to it in a thread about selling my W124 back in June 2012.

Its not that far from me. I must admit had it been a dizzler I would be heading to swansea with money by now.

We should post a link to that eastern european guy from the facebook "cars under £500" .

Dmitri Kalashnikov says; "£17 toenyt, i colekt ? Yez"

I think a brief exchange with him would finally break 405 guy.

Could we not just find 22 of us who are willing to chip in a tenner and put it out of its misery?

You'd have to be mental to spend £3k on a Acclaim, I've been thinking about letting mine go and I'd only be asking £600 for it.

Acclaims are great, I've had two and really regret killing the first one (giant snowball, don't ask!).

For 3k that one, nice as it is has truly sealed it's place in this thread.
