Wonderful! I love it, It's been a long while since I last saw a unmodified Mk1 Fiesta like that.

That is a lovely little car and in amazing condition - it was obviously well looked after up to its interment.  I always like a good back story with an old car and that's a particularly good one.

My father had a white base model 1.1 on a Y plate for a while in about 1994, I remember it had a quite hideous dark blue interior and the old CVH engine was extremely loud and coarse compared to our 216SE but it was a very likeable little car.  Very few of these about now, good to see another one saved.

That is one canny liitle car.

The colours suit it perticularly well.

sounds like if you brought it to a meet youd have 30 old men turning it into a plasterers radio

That's lovely. I haven't seen a mark 1 Fiesta Ghia for at least 15 years.

TBH I thought that these would the next big "scene" thing - they really are nice to drive, even in 950 form.

My old boss had a 1300 sport on a T plate - they must be the rarest of the MK1 fiestas now?

That car look WONDERFUL. So wonderful does it look, I had to get up off the floor and dust myself off again after seeing the pics.

I am GENUINELY jelous. The condition and rarity of it is awesome. Why must I always end up with rusty heaps of crap?

It seems to me that these have been accruing Blue Oval tax quite a lot in the last few years, oddly when other old cars have been dropping in value. About 5 years ago mint ones were selling for under £1k. My mate went to look at one for his missus, looked at it, liked it, test drove it, agreed a price, rang his missus to check she wanted it, got off the phone and some other chap had turned up and given the full price, which for me was an indication that things were starting to pick up for them.

It is one of those cars that warrants the 'can only go up in value' tag as long as its being sold at a realistic price and not by a deluded chancer classic car dealer with a white room.

I have some bits knocking about if you need anything, just pop us a PM.
Some of which include:
NOS front wings
Skinny Front Bumper (Black)
And assorted shite.

Also, well done and top Motoring !

I am hoping this will be the case as it was bought to play with and then sell.....not expecting to see loads of cash but nice to get some back.

On the other hand it is nice and I would love to keep it..so I have priced it such that buyers will be limited but if one does come along the cash will cheer me up.

On yet another hand I know that if it does go I will be one of those sad buggers that wanders up at shows muttering about should have kept it.

We'll........had to go and fetch this on Saturday as storage no longer available.

Took jump pack but not needed! Fired up a treat and run it warm while I pumped the tyres up.

It is still on sorn as I tried to tax it for the start of May but the online thing said I would have to backdate it to 1st April.....is this normal?

I have entered it in the local show (Rushden Cavalcade) next Monday so hoping to get tax sorted by then.

Yes, you can't tax it to start in the future, it has to be from the start of the current month.  You'll have to cross your legs until Thursday.

I missed this first time round, so let me add my two pennyworth - that's an absolute belter.  Am especially hot for the wood and velour.
